Hello,

I'm a game developer who has been working on what is essentially a multiplayer Digimon World 1 game, using DS sprites. Been lurking here for months and I love seeing all the ideas you have posted for evolution charts. The sprites have obviously been invaluable too (though I still can't find KingEtemon, despite his sprite existing in Digimon World DS).

You'll be seeing me more and more over the coming months and I can't wait to show off what I've made!

Sure, I'll give you guys a little sneak peek.

When you start a new game, pick your egg. You even get a unique little description to hint at what is inside.
(Don't worry, the default message boxes are being replaced with something more aesthetic.)

Digitamamon is effectively my game's Professor Oak.

Evolution animation. Not a final product, but it looks pretty good.

Please understand that my user interface elements are placeholders for now. I am not an artist, and these will be replaced before launch. Having said that, a few attack animations:

The red boxes are for debugging. They show the effective bounding box of techniques.

Cardboard Numemon target dummies are for freshly hatched players.

Currently my favorite technique, which also damages the user.

Oh and lastly, the map. This is a super zoomed out preview of a 16kx16k pixel map (or approximately 500x500 Digimon in length and width).

My mapper still needs to add features and details, but the foundation is there!

Spent the last few days doing AI. Enemies will now path toward their target, avoiding obstacles and using techniques when in range.
