I really did mean to do this immediately after creating the account. Must have been distracted by something.

Anyway. Hello! I'm old and Finnish. If you want a name other than the handle, J. or Winter will do nicely. I'm into a bunch of things, really, but Digimon is one of the very very few that have been with me since childhood. But sometimes I'll write a thing and may or may not have had something published recently.

Looking forward to hanging out with you all.

Sorry for the late response!

This is a great question. Watanabe's style had a huuuuge impact on my own scribblings and my imagination as a whole, so I'd say that's definitely what got me hooked. But the thing that kept reeling me in was the branching evolutions and the variety of weird and cool monsters within. Like, your favourite Child mon could eventually have been every single one of your favourite monsters! The whole lifecycle concept is strongly tied to this, of course. I think it's beautiful in a way. Like, you get this sense of hope and potential and possibilities.

Hopefully this will answer your question even a little bit. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜°
