Yakiimon & Jyagamon Previews for Booster Set 12

The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated with card previews from Booster Set 12 Across Time. This time it's Yakiimon & Jyagamon.

This potato themed update begins with Yakiimon posing, smiling as often he is, while Jyagamon features both him and Yakiimon, and it appears they are cooking sweet potatoes and grabbing more supplies to heat even more up.

Pretty sure you don't add that much salt to a roasted sweet potato. Never been a fan of those though so I could be wrong.

Confirms Potamon's getting a card then, lol.

Killing your own Jyagamon to be able to summon two Digimon to replace him could be an interesting strategy.

Should've included Burgermon in the effect too. Hopefully it, and the other food mons, are in this set too. Would add TokiaraBallmon to the babies giving us another one that doesn't have a card in this set.

They "evolve" backwards.
Fries > potatoes > one single potato.

Man, it's weird that we have this many potato-themed Digimon..... and yet, they stop short of having an Ultimate form. It's almost like the Gekomon family in that sense.

As an aside, I never understood why the hell Jyagamon was one of the only Pendulum Digimon (and maybe the only one outside of Baby stages, Metal Empire, Virus Busters, and the .5 Versions) to be completely left out of Digimon World 2.

I’m still salty that Potamon wasn’t created as Yakimon’s Child form.

The problem is that Potamon was designed to tie into the Burgamon line, as a bridge to Jagamon in place of Adult Burgamon, a line which Yakiimon has no relation to at all and doesn't really with thematically.

Yes sweet potato fries are a thing but that's not what he's based on, he's based on yaki-imo or baked sweet potato so to me it makes more sense for Potamon and Yakiimon to be parallels to each other in that they're different ways for prepare a potato.

This, what i think too ("evolve" backwards). I think El Doradimon or Xuanwumon fit for its line "Back to nature" (forest/island).

Or maybe a seed of potato digimon. As simple design and tiny as most Baby digimon.
