Wormmon & Shadramon Previews for Booster Set EX-03

The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated with card previews from Booster Set EX-03 Dragon's Roar. This time it's Wormmon & Shadramon.

Wormmon features him nabbing an apple from a friendly familiar ghost as a Leafmon is also there. Shadramon features him going a bit fiery in what looks to be the remnants of a forest.

Ok, guess we're not doing ExVeemon & Stingmon in this set after all.

It does bother me a bit how Shadramon is getting the uncommon treatment, meaning it's not holographic at all, but the art looks great nevertheless.

Oh so Ghosmon can touch the fruits... And Shadramon?! SHADRAMON!! Shadramon's attacks are too awesome to witness in the digital card battle game! Honestly I find him that is way cooler than Fladramon although I always wanted to see Fladramon X...

Jeez, Shadramon hope you get more appearances.

Does that mean Shadramon can completely circumvent any additional DNA requirements, as long as you have another Digimon on the field?

No, it can't. A bunch of Digimon have similar effects, and they don't ignore requirements. It essentially works to make the DNA Digivolution a "Quick Effect".

The idea for the Imperial lines in this set is the following: Have both Veemon and Wormmon out in play. Have both Imperials (DM and FM), 1 of the Level 4s and 1 of the Level 5s in hand(let's say Fladra and Paildra), and the other 2(Shadra and Dinobee) in the trash. Let's say you have 1 memory.

1. Evolve Veemon into Fladramon for 2 memory. Now memory goes to 1 in your opponent's side, but you resolve any "When Digivolving" effects you have before proceeding to End of Turn.
2. Use Fladramon's When Digivolving to evolve Wormmon into Shadramon for 2 memory(opponent now at 3)
3. Use Shadramon's When Digivolving to DNA Fladra and Shadra into Paildramon in your hand.
4. Paildramon's When Digivolving to play Dinobeemon from your trash for free.
5. Now End of Turn happens, and Fladramon's OR Shadramon's Inherited activates(both are underneath Paildramon), DNA Digivolving Paildramon and Dinobeemon into Imperialdramon Dragon Mode.
6. Imperialdramon Dragon Mode's When Digivolving activates, destroying all but 1 of your opponent's Digimon. Then, it uses Blitz and Dinobeemon's Inherited to attack your opponent's remaining Digimon.
7. Imperialdramon DM's When Attacking activates, Digivolving into Imperialdramon Fighter Mode for 2 memory (opponent now at 5)
8. Imperialdramon FM's When Digivolving activates, returning Dragon Mode from it's sources to bottom deck, so Security won't activate this turn. It destroys the opponent's last Digimon, and, since it has Piercing, it continues to check Security, checking +1 from Paildramon's Inherited.
9. Only now does the turn end and pass over to your opponent with 5 memory.

Basically, you start with 2 Level 3s in play, and end with a Level 6, your opponent's field wiped out, and them with 2 Security less.
