Wow, nice catch. I guess all the DS mascots ended up in it.

Lucemon is a special case? And what the hell is Chronomon if not a special case? He is one of the most special Digimon in the franchise. Literally.

Really, in the whole franchise? Is he?? He was really only an important character in the first Digimon Story game on the DS, was a powerful but otherwise normal obtainable Digimon in the other DS RPGs, and has since disappeared without a trace for almost ten years now. None of that says "one of the most special Digimon in the franchise" to me.

i think he meant more in the sense of unique, again if they can make an exception for Lucemon why not for Chronomon? atleast if they want to include him again that is.

I wouldn't say no to a Chronomon Mega.

Chronomon is considered a Super-Ultimate, but it's hard to tell if we're talking about Destroyer Mode, Holy Mode or both.

Creating a Mega level Chronomon and making its two alternative forms its Ultras (one positive, the other negative) would bring some consistency to this Digimon.

Don't be surprised if they pretend he's just a regular Mega should he ever show up again.

They'll probably list him as a regular Ultimate/Mega if and when he's added to the DRB since Super Ultimate/Ultra is more a sub-category of Ultimate/Mega than a universally recognized 7th Level as the very concept of a 7th level is itself not universally recognized.

I meant in games and cards and what not, since they use Ultra

Do they have the rights to him? That's usually the excuse as to why the V-Tamer manga Digimon don't appear.

It would explain why his line isn't even in the DRB.

Probably not, Chronomon was designed for subseries of games made directly under Bamco and it doesn't seem like there was a guest artist or developer that created them and worked nowhere else within the franchise. It's more likely that Bandai is just not using the character like many of their other Digimon that are waiting in limbo, not that it's tied up in legalities like Arkadimon or Callismon.

And as Marc has said many times before, there's no actual evidence of legal issues with the V-Tamer Digimon.

Please explain it again because I didn’t hear it the first time.

Marc could possibly explain it better, but basically it's just an unfounded theory fans have come up with. The main evidence usually given for it is UlforceV-dramon Future Mode being added to Digimon Masters and then removed, but that could very well have been a miscommunication between Bandai and the Korean company that makes the game. There's no sign of Yabuno being involved in it. There's also the fact that Arkadimon has appeared in a number of things by now. Other Digimon created by Yabuno include V-dramon, HolyAngemon, and Demon, but that doesn't stop them from showing up in everything.
