here's a question

Why is Funi doing ANOTHER release of Yu Yu Hakusho?

They had singles, edited singles, saga boxsets, 'numbered' boxsets, and now starting in July, season sets.

I mean, I love Yu Yu Hakusho, but isn't that a bit much?

Re: What's Up With the goc

Wow thats weird I have been thinking about that show allot lately, and I have no idea why.
I mean they just stopped the Dub without any warning,
I rally wish I could have seen the rest of the series.
I have almost completely forgot every characters name.

Re: What's Up With the goc

Eh. I bought all the YYH 14 ep uncut sets that came out last year. It was a good way to get the whole series in 8 DVD cases. (16 DVDs)

But season sets? :/ Oh well.

If they're reshipping I can't complain. I can't find YYH anywhere.

Osakamon, you can find the sets that just came out cheap on ebay. About $20 per DVD, which is better than $35 retail.

First, If GOC will let me, *ahem* Hey Hey Hey. (Since this board is called What's Happening) Ok, seriously, I would like to get the series. And I think I have a friend that might like it too. But she didn't like past the Dark Tournament with the Toguros.

You quoted the wrong show ya mook nyah 'pokes in the eyes'

You need the commas and to italicize the middle hey for what's happening

Re: What's Up With the goc

Got a few early anime DVDs today.

Bleach Volume 10- Release Date May 20th

Shuffle Volume 3- Release Date May 6th

Oban Star Racers Volume 1- Released Today

Good haul, and was able to get Oban for 6 bucks, and it has half the series (and is the first/only way to get the uncut version of the series, and the 5.1 audio, since Jetix edited it and used the 2.0)

Coulda gotten Shin Chan, but eh.

Re: What's Up With the goc

generically 'hey hey hey' is taken as fat albert, for whats happening you have to give the middle 'hey' a bit of prominence

Also, decided on what movies I plan on seeing in theaters over the summer (no specific order)

Death Note
Bleach: Memories of Nobody
Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Iron Man
Speed Racer
You Don't Mess with the Zohan
The Incredible Hulk
Get Smart
Wall-E
Hellboy II: The Golden Army
The Dark Knight
The X-Files: I Want to Believe
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor
Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Hancock

Good selection of films this year, maybe even the best summer selection ever for me (hard to beat new die hard and a simpsons movie though...)

Re: What's Up With the goc

Ooh, I didn't know there was going to be an X-Files movie. I'll probably end up seeing that with my dad. Actually I'm really surprised how many decent movies look to be coming out this summer. I've heard about most of those from my friend, who is a movie nerd and is always rambling about stuff coming out. I'd like to see a lot of them, but I don't think I'd have enough money with the prices of tickets these days unless I convince my parents to buy me tickets for some. It's even worse if its such a good movie that you want to see it again. I saw Sweeney Todd with said friend four times because I'm a sucker for horror musicals. It would have been worth it for me to see it once, suck it up, and just wait until the DVD came out to watch it all I want for double the price of a normal ticket.

Wow, that's like every movie I'm going to see. I actually just bought my ticks to Iron Man. We should go to the movies together, goc.

Re: What's Up With the goc

Went to a special screening of Night at the Museum tonight.

Found out about a neat movie that never got made from the guys who make Reno 911 (and wrote Night at the Museum).

"A Thousand Years with Matthew Broderick"

The plot of the movie is as such...

Matthew Broderick is in fact a godlike supervampire, who eats babies to live

I'd go see that movie, I really would. (dark comedy)

Re: What's Up With the goc

lol that movie sounds awsome. I would be down to see that. Probably one of the reasons it didn't get made is the baby-eating, obvious public backlash

Yeah, I can see that.

As for summer movies, I have to go see Iron Man, Hulk, and Batman just because I always have to see all the superhero movies (and it's fun to see them change up the Marvel explanations and backstories, and still not have them make any kind of sense). I actually haven't seen any trailers or commercials for The Dark Knight, so I have no idea if it'll be good or not, but I still have to see it. Just a couple more years for GL, though, hopefully.

I actually had no idea the new Indiana Jones was coming out this summer. I'd be interested in seeing that, along with Speed Racer, Get Smart, Wall-E, and The Mummy.
Harold & Kumar is just the kind of thing you rent on a Saturday night under your friend's Blockbuster account when you have nothing else to do.
