WarGreymon & Taichi Megahouse Precious GEM Figure Images, Info, and Pre-Order Details

Just about time for a big GEM figure!

Image Thumbnail (custom)

This is the biggest and fanciest GEM figure for Digimon yet.

In fact, they say that in 2018 the GEM Digimon figure series will evolve... into Precious GEM! And WarGreymon is the first one.

This one just looks really amazing, and is huge!

Listed as being roughly 9.84 inches tall, it's just as large as the massive Greymon GEM figure released previously. You're going to need a ton of shelf space!

And not only is it an impressive WarGreymon figure, it comes with an impressive Taichi figure! Taichi is holding his activated Digivice and appears to be ready to run into battle with WarGreymon.

Pre-orders are open for 20,736 yen (blood-curdling scream here.)

It's listed as being exclusive to Premium Bandai, Megatrea, Toei Online, and amiami for Japan (we will update with more links as stores add their listings.) The price may show as slightly different if retailers include Japanese tax in their listing.

The figure will ship in July 2018.

It's certainly the best looking GEM yet, and giving it the new level of Precious GEM makes you wonder what else is in store for the line (will we still see any other normal GEMs? or will the line only be super premium figures now?)

We aren't currently sure if stores outside of Japan will be stocking it, but hopefully we will find out reasonably fast since this one will be in high demand.

Update- For those that don't want to use an intermediary, Crunchyroll is taking pre-orders with a release date of September 2018.

You'll want to contact an intermediary to get these items sent to you. WtW is not affiliated with any, but here are a selection of intermediaries that have worked well for various WtWers and their friends in the past:
From Japan
Rider Proxy
Nippon-Yasan

The Bandai Premium store has also chosen to name a few 'official' affiliate shops to be used as intermediaries for non-Japanese buyers:
Buyee
From Japan (this From Japan link shows their 'official' page for Premium Bandai.)
Samurai Buyer
DEJapan

You'll want to provide your chosen intermediary with the link to the item. Just copy paste the links to the product pages for what you want and send them a message about it and they'll take care of it after they discuss pricing and their policies with you. The link embedded in the news article for the product items are exactly what you'll need to send them.

Some of the intermediaries have a full storefront and may have the items listed, so you may want to check that first.

And don't forget... another Precious GEM will be available to order in a month...

"Precious GEM" is kinda goofy =P. I don't mind the higher quality figures, but the rebranding is a little dorky. As always, though, these figures are fiiiiine. Still not my cup of tea, but damned good looking.

So G.E.M. Greymon is 9.75 inches and Precious G.E.M. Wargreymon is 9.84inches. Looking at the attached picture, this would make Wargreymon out of scale. Why would they do this when people have already invested a lot of money in the Digimon G.E.M line? Couldn't they have kept it consistent?

Just good looking but why they should start this Precious GEM series with the WarGreymon / MetalGarurumon again ?? Too many of those duos are stored on our shelf.

This certainly looks high-end; I'm particularly impressed by the detailed shading of the skin. Another thing that jumped out at me was that they went for a slightly battle-worn look with all kinds of little nicks on the armor and weapons. Which is kinda genius if you think about it because it means that the figure can fall off your shelf a few times and you could still pretend that all of the additional scratches are also part of the figure's design from the start.

Which is exactly how they know that those will sell.
