Wanyamon & Tamer Card Nicolai Previews for Booster Set 11

The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated with card previews from Booster Set 11 Dimensional Phase. This time it's Wanyamon & Nicolai.

Wanyamon gets some cute art of him in recovery, while Nicolai uses art from Re:Digitize.

So will the English version of this card use the name Nikorai Petorofu like the ReDigitize trailers did, I sure hope not. My one hope is they spell the character's name right

Looks like they noticed saying Gao causes Gaossmon to be supported, as they have this saying Gaomon or Gaogamon in the name. Poor Gaossmon isn't allowed to play any more

Come to think of it, Wanyamon in ReDigitize series did evolve to a dragon, Magnamon. Though I wish they made the Magnamon of Gaomon more Gaomon blue than V-mon blue.

Good to know, because it sure looked like the injured Wanyamon was sitting on a church pew, trying to put on a smile as the abusive Priest Angemon is looming behind him threateningly.

Oh no, it seems theyre sticking with the BT4 gimmick where it purposefully gives your opponent draws for gaomon's line.


While hand advantage isnt as important in digimon as it is in yugioh, giving your opponent free draws is still a terrible gimmick unless the new support also forces them to trash some, or it focuses on returning cards on the field to the hand instead of forcing draws.

Tsumemon in BT2 006 is also without other baby.

I mean, Arata never had a Tsumemon. That card just depicted wild Kuramon/Tsumemon from Kowloon since you could fight them there.

...noooo? You could not? You definitely couldn't, because Kuramon and Tsumemon in Cyber Sleuth base required you to wait until the first Digital Shift, and the Kowloon levels after that didn't dip below Child. You could find them in Under Kowloon in Hacker's Memory, but that's a whole different matter entirely when the card depicted regular Kowloon.

Arata met his partner as a Kuramon and we don't know the state it was in when he found it again around the start of the game.
