Vorvomon & Lavorvomon Previews for Booster Set 2, Plus Promo Poster & Memory Gauges

New card previews from the Digimon Card Game!

The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated with more card previews from Booster Set 2 Ultimate Power. This time it's Vorvomon & Lavorvomon.

The Digimon from Linkz/Links popping up in the card game will no doubt make many people happy. Both have a very nice painted look to them and really show off the texture to the characters really well, plus Vorvomon's smiling face.


On top of that, a couple of bonus things to look over...

A promotional product poster for Booster Set 2 showed up recently. It has a very nice flat coloring style to it, showing off the bad guys facing off against the good guys. We also get to see a few Digimon that I don't believe we were aware were going to show up in Booster Set 2...



And last up...

We found out about the promotional memory gauges a few months ago. At the time they were thin clear plastic. Based on a photo and information on the official site, they are now a combination of plastic with foil for a nice visual.

These will be given out to all participants of 'Tamer Exchange' tournament events that will have their store locations announced later in July. Lotteries for 0.0 promo packs will also be held.



Digimon Card Game Booster Set 2 Ultimate Power is scheduled to release on July 22nd. The primary preview we've gotten so far of cards from that set was the recent 4 page spread from V-Jump.

Nice, hopefully Vorvomon continues to get used after Links' death. I'm surprised it'd not in Rearise yet. Hopefully Jazamon comes with him in the cards (and Herrismon and Blucomon?)

yes! Just YES! This is what I want to see! I'm not even as much as a Vorvomon as other people but a very new Digimon not many people know exists with only one other media appearance that carries the legacy of a dead platform many loved is *so* nice to see in only the second booster. I am thoroughly convinced that the team who is designing the card game are huge fans of Digimon themselves!

The art looks nice but just a little bit too ... smooth I guess.
The models and Bandai art did kind of a better job of conveying the "rock" part of their design, looking more angular and rough, but here their features look weirdly smoothed off. Besides the rocks that are prominently protruding, the overall texture might as well be normal skin or scales.

Other than that... I don't see their inclusion as particularly surprising. They already used them in V-Pets so they haven't been actually "exclusive to Linkz" for about two years by now.

@Sparrow Hawk the extremely weird lack of use of Bemmon and its evos has left me wondering for a while if Bandai even has the rights to use them. They have never even got a virtual card, Cyber Sleuth medal, official art, or just a simple mention since that game. If an appropriate opportunity comes up, I'd love to ask the question of Bemmon's absence to somebody on a Digimon team but otherwise I don't want to bother people not asking for questions

Yeah they made Suijinmon, Rajinmon, and Fuijinmon their cards completely skipped over Bemmon's evo line that saddened me!
Even Raidenmon.

Being Destromon fan hurts AS HELL

Oof. Yeah, way to hype something up in the game's promotional material and opening cutscene, only for you to not even have a boss battle against it.

Really, the Bemmon family in general just seems to be a load of wasted potential. Snatchmon only appears as an NPC, and Gaiamon doesn't even appear at all (granted, its mere existence requires a planet-wide extinction, but considering this franchise plays around with a multiverse pretty frequently, who's to say its appearance isn't possible? Plus, they did do something similar with Quartzmon).

Yeah... Snatchmon didn't have 3D model. Destromon's weakness is just computer "Self-Destruction" button. Ragnamon is the only one who was luckiest one to have 3D model in different angles for the entire boss battle and some cutscenes. Gaiamon? They created the App version of Gaiamon..........

Damn hell it hurts. But I hope this new card at least have a better chance of re-introduce. I really do. VERY HOPEFULLY.
