Volcanicdramon Preview for Booster Set EX-03

The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated with a card preview from Booster Set EX-03 Dragon's Roar. This time it's Volcanicdramon.

Volcanicdramon is another Vorvomon family card by Kenji Watanabe, continuing the heavy use of flame and particle effects. Some really nice theming with the card frame on this one.

This Volcanicdramon's effects are pretty similar to the one from BT1 that deleted all Digimon with 4000 DP or less when it's played and had Security Attack +1 except they both have different ways they're trying to remove low DP digimon and trash extra security. I guess this dude is consistent in his goals!

I mean, it's an effective soft once per turn in that you need to have it attack multiple times a turn without dying to get the effect multiple times a turn.

Oh well it's fine if Kenji drew this card. I was just hoping Volcanicdramon gets menacing artwork like that BelialVamdemon's menacing artwork!

Since its an above average DP red card that can also evolve from black, the only things in security that will realistically kill it are option cards if it has the right inheritables. The only problem is unsuspending the thing, though since youll likely be running so black cards there are some options that allow it to unsuspend if you can give it reboot or blocker.

red effects also like to give DP boosts when attacking so it can punch over the DP amounts of Lv. 7 security digimon when given that support. But unsuspending yourself to attack twice isn't easy
