I wouldn't bet on a western release for the app, legit, there's no profit incentive for them to do so. Occasional english additions to the japanese app sure, but anything else costs them extra money for no benefit, and at this point if there's no announcment, assuming and waiting for it is pointless.

I started using the App today and found it quite easy to use without understanding any Japanese (I did watch a quick Youtube tutorial though and am unsure if I actually bound my NA BNID to the app) If they eventually release an english text update I'd be fine with that.

And after a few months of use I have found that every single "Card Reader" inside the school I work in will trigger battles, makes it easy to do the 10-15 battle daily while I run to grab kids from class since many sections of the building are sectioned off by key card access. (Also makes me smile when the kids ask "Can I see your watch?!")

Is anyone still getting the "device incompatible" message?

I checked and my phone is Android ver 9 and has the reader thing. But Qoo app still says it is incompatable. Those are the only requirements, right?

You could alternatively download the APK separately and install it like that, which is how I did it (as I'm in the EU). Would give you more detailed error messages too, probably.

Is there a safe place to get that?

Depends on your definition of "Safe", but I used this: https://m.apkpure.com/digimon-vital-bracelet-lab/net.digimon.digibb/versions
Then I renamed the file that I got from them to .apks and used SAI installer: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aefyr.sai&hl=en&gl=US
Seems to work without issue so far.

Secondly:

Seems like they're translating the app into English!

When they announced we were getting the app the announcement was clear that it'd be a clone of the Japanese app at first, with it being relaunched in English later.

English translation isn't ready and they wanted the app to be available when people who ordered from Premium Bandai US got their VBs.

Where did this image come from? It looks like it’s from the news section of the app, but I’m not seeing this in the app when I open it.

I got (and still get) it when I log in. On the home screen it pops up on launch.

I figured it out, if I reinstall the app I get these English notices until I log back in. After logging back in its in full Japanese again with this notice missing. Seems to be a issue of having transferred a account that was made in the Japanese app.
