I was wondering if we'd see any events for the VB at all given the spectacular failure of the 10-minute live raid from last year. I think this is also the first bit of (potential) customization we've seen for the new app.
VB Arena still needs a lot of work in general though. Barely functional, slow as shit, always have to choose what device/franchise you're using on loading, the chances of finding anyone for a PvP match are abysmally low, and events only last a single day so far. Lab may have suffered from the most simplistic repetitive "gameplay" of all time, but at least events lasted long enough for everyone to get to participate and came with decent enough rewards. Plus the arenas, while not live PvP, were full of variety and it was cool to see new Digis slowly populate them as cards were released. VBA feels like a joke in comparison and is only playable one day a month where you're faced against 10 insanely easy AI to see who can garner the most points for a top spot on the website leaderboard (spoilers: it'll just be the handful people the app didn't crash for).
A device upgrade as good as the BE deserved so much better. I'm hoping they have some actually meaningful announcements for it apart from this.
