After the first wave of general release Shodo figures in the US, we have news of Wave 2.

This wave won't match the equivalent Japanese wave 2.

Wave 2 in the US will be Omegamon and MagnaAngemon. Interestingly, Omegamon is sticking with the Japanese name while MagnaAngemon is using the English dub name.

The new packaging features the same general style of packaging we saw with wave 1 featuring window-boxing for the figure. The back we expect to be like wave 1, featuring the figure, the associated crest, along with a short description in English and Spanish, along with showing off the full wave.

The main difference between wave 1 is the logo swaps from the US legacy Digimon logo to the English Digimon Advneture: logo.

Also like wave 1, the figures themselves appear to be the same as the Japanese release, with one specific difference... These are being sold already in one piece. The Japanese release came in pieces so the packaging could be smaller. They weren't model kits, and people sometimes had issues snapping the joints in, so getting the figures already complete might be of interest to more than a few people.

Why did they just stop using the old Digimon Digital Monsters logo?
