CD Scan time!
Unidentified Airship by Takayoshi Tanimoto is the first Digimon Adventure: opening theme and was released as a CD single just a week ago.
The CD single release also included Be the Winners and X-treme Fight, both insert songs that have shown up in the show so far.
While the show began months ago, the CD was unannounced since mastering hadn't finished at the time.
A CD single with 3 different relevant tracks makes for good value for Digimon fans, especially since it contains every vocal song from the show at this point in time.
The embedded files are smaller JPGs from our gallery, so those shouldn't have any bandwidth issues. Click the images for big versions.
The scans went relatively well and there were no oddities or issues.
The CD was packaged in a CD-Album style case (the normal CD case most people are familiar with.)

The cover uses a background of the network from the first few episodes of the series, along with new artwork of Taichi and Agumon. In the top corner is the show logo, CD title, and Tanimoto's name. The various elements look very nice, but there isn't much in the way of cohesiveness or them feeling like they belong together. The artwork especially stands out from a background that feels slightly out of place.
The cover is the front to a booklet. Well, not quite. The case insert is an unfoldable sheet, since all the information can fit on 3 foldable pages.

A few photos to show how it's generally setup.
The scans below are formatted into something akin to a logical order as you'd expect them to appear in an actual booklet.

It's pretty basic, but not unexpected. We get a tracklist page with a circuit board pattern behind it. Each song gets a page with lyrics. The background uses a striped and monochrome version of what appears to be the network background from the front cover.

The back uses the circuit board pattern again, with the Digimon Adventure: logo in the center.
A scan of the disc itself.

We get a mostly solid blue disc, with all the necessary text elements in black. The cut out areas added for flair feel like they might be based on any number of things, or just a general design, as I can't quite place it (I thought it might be a Digivice: effect, but it wasn't in any screenshots I had. Regardless, it looks nice.)
Because this was a full CD case, it had some art under the tray which I cracked open.

The circuit board pattern continues, and on the left edge we get all the disc info in English (the title track uses the romanized title of Mikakunin Hikousen.)

The reverse side of this is the actual back cover of the CD case. It features a photo of Tanimoto along with a tracklist. The pieces that bend to be the information on the sides of the CD case have one printed in Japanese while the other is English.
On the left side of the case was an obi card.

The obi is solid blue with various text in white and yellow. The slightly 'squarer' version of the show logo is included, and the back advertises Tanimoto's new best of album 'Career Along'
Last up was a bit included with the Amazon exclusive version of the CD.

The Amazon version came with a giant version of the CD cover on basic card stock. Went ahead and scanned it and edited it decently large (along with a photo of the CD on it to show the difference in size.) It was big enough that it didn't properly fit on my scanner, so scanned it in a few pieces. Thanks to my friend Logan for connecting the joins properly.
It's a really nice CD for Digimon fans, and due to how much is included for the price, is a pretty good buy. It's not the first Adventure: related CD (that would be the Aiha Headphone Kara, which includes the first ED, which we did a breakdown of here), but for the first dedicated Adventure: CD, it's about as good as you could have hoped for.
If you want to order the CD, it is still available for 1,200 yen. : (CDJapan affiliate link)
