Tyumon & Targetmon Previews for Booster Set EX-05

The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated with card previews from Booster Set EX-05 Animal Colosseum. This time it's Tyumon & Targetmon.

Tyumon is taking a well deserved nap, with plenty of cheese around, and a friend right outside. Targetmon appears to have just stomped on Sukamon, and is drawn with some very nice art that resembles his profile art. The background also has some references to Target Nizhizawa by showing the Digivolving Spirits packaging.

I freaking called it that these two were coming. With the Etemon and MetalEtemon focus it just made the most sense. That Chuumon on play is really good with the new Etemon in this set you can get two bodies for free one of them being a big KingSukamon body. BT11 KingSukamon would be good with this.

Targetmon is okay i guess i mean who doesn't want blocker just in case you aren't running a lot of KingEtemon. One thing is for sure you will not be digivolving into Targetmon that evo cost is crazy and there is no special evo cost either.

I don't personally. Sukamon to Etemon is just great in my opinion, but Targetmon works as an evolution for Chuumon mimicking his older "brother".

true, i did count makuramon, but for some reason only counted 1 blue deva as missing

Targetmon stomped Sukamon is another this time I evolve to your evolution trope like BT13-078 Phascomon.

I'm seriously lookig forward to this set because I run the Sukamon and Etemon stuff as my main deck and there are a LOT of things you can do with this.

You can use BT13 KingSukamon to play Targetmon for free and if KingSukamon has the protection inheritable, you can use Targetmon to combo off that and get him back to hand while also filling Trash.

A 3 cost Blocker Champion that is just big enough to bully Rookies is nice and 3000 DP is super imporant cuz then you can trade with opponents that were tranformed by BT11 KingSukamon.

EX5 Metal Etemon lets you put him in Security too if you want against a transformed opponent. He can also be played for free off Pride Memory Boost and EX5 Etemon inheritable.

He also lets BT11 KingSukamon go for more checks cuz of his name ruling.

Being a Blocker with Sukamon and Etemon in name also means you can apply Cooties Kick to him offensively or defensively andyu can just play him again thanks to the 3 Memory you get.

There are just so many ways to use this guy that him being a monkey is poetic to him being a missing link between Sukamon and Etemon.

That's what I like about him. He's a really good halfway point. And if you later use king etemon in his evo line he even regains his visor.

I don't think I've ever mentioned online before how much I've always adored Targetmon. It's one of the most Digimon designs in existence and I love Digimon designs!
