I never liked this digimon despite liking Otamamon and Gekomon. Adventure: 2020 had the chance to make me like it and instead they had a whole episode of him trying to make Gomamon his "wife".... yeah.
At least BanchoMamemon almost beat him up when they first met

Is that an elder Gekomon standing in front of him? I forget, was there an NPC like that in Digimon World?

Actually a pretty interesting stack. If you have all three frogs in one stack with a mega the opponent Digimon loses two stacks and you gain Memory. Whatever mega comes in this set could make it even more interesting. You'd have the enemy terrified to attack as they'd go -3 from attacking and could be even more with a cool mega effect.

Really wish they gave the Gekomon line a dedicated Mega.

I for one am perfectly happy with Pukumon. It just works as an Otamamon warp evolution much in the same vein WarGreymon works for Agumon imo.

I know it's technically a pufferfish and not a tadpole/frog, but I don't mind. We also just accepted Gabumon becoming a legit wolf out of a reptile.

Similar feelings. The fact that they keep portraying it in gross characterizations really does not help.

Maybe it can get the Survive treatment one day and the entire line can be given some proper love and depth.

I mean sure, but Otamamon and Gekomon are still portrayed quite friendly and adorable, in my opinion. We just need a TonosamaGekomon who is not a jerk or a creep.

I never had the energy to play very far into world, despite liking some of it's core elements. I might end up trying at some point.

I personally love Bacchusmon as a ShogunGekomon evolution but both aren't really a "dedicated mega" like Amandil7 was asking, just "good megas"
