Tamers Audio Drama Recording Details

More Tamers Audio Drama bits!



With just a few months until release, it appears the Tamers audio drama has finished recording, so some behind the scenes details have been shared.


Some of the details are things we found out previously, just announced more formally.


They reiterate that the new audio drama begins two years after Tamers.

Saki Fujita, the voice of NYX in the audio drama, was a fan of Tamers who watched it during it's original run on television.




They let us know that certain bits of dialogue everyone expects to hear such as Moumantai and Card Slash will certainly appear.


They also give us some details of a scene... apparently Takato will visit Guilmon's old home and a white haired Yamaki shows up.




Esaki from the editing department is apparently a big Tamers fan and loves Terriermon.





An interesting behind the scenes bit is the studio is the same place they recorded Tamers itself.

The characters will be older, so it'll be interesting to hear how the voices are changed to age them up.





Director Kaizawa had added notes to the script. These notes are instructions for sound effects and music.






There are also a number of cast comments. We hope to have these translated as time allows, along with cleaning up a few details above as translations are double checked.


The Blu-ray box will be available April 3rd, 2018 for 53,800 yen. Early copies of the box will include the new Tamers audio drama.

I would assume either a translation mistake, or perhaps it isn't Yamaki.

Konaka himself gave the 'white haired Yamaki' detail in English, so a mistranslation or some form of misdirection could certainly be possible.

Konaka has said earlier that the CD Drama will take place in the "after" and in the "now"... so, perhaps the white-haired Yamaki means part of the CD Drama will take place in 2018.

Using him paraphrasing something that's been detailed isn't really helpful to be honest. It just gives the potential of confusing something we already have far more clarified details for.


Not to mention that it being in 2018 wouldn't quite match what 'seems' to be the context of the new statements, which gives the appearance of it being near the beginning... also, Yamaki was only 32 in Tamers. While his hair could certainly change before he's 50, it seems an odd thing to point out rather than saying 'older' or even a more standard older 'grey' hair.

And wouldn't this be a good time to release 15th anniversary versiom of Jian's D-ark? We never got the usual third release of the 15th Digivice for Tamers.

Isn't her voice actress on hiatus? I don't think they'd want to replace her voice with someone unfamiliar to fans just so they could have Renamon in the CD, so they probably left her out.

I don't know that it would be so odd for yamaki to have white hair, stress causes grey hairs as the old story goes, and our boy was never exactly one to chillax.

I wonder if Konaka already had plans of not include Renamon respecting Yuka and her son ...
If it was, I consider him an extremely noble guy who knows what the fans want.

I mean this special cd-drama is more for the nostalgic value than a continuation of tamers, everyone is back to bring the feeling back.

What if the mysterious NYX is white-haired Yamaki, a sort of Ai who will tell Takato what it’s going to happen in the future?
