The V-mon family of cards continues! Daisuke gets new anime style art, while Paildramon gets some fancy and crisp art showing Imperialdramon behind him.

Yeah okay so with this and X Laser, they just want Imperialdramon to be super broken

Paildramon look somewhat "handsome" but I guess his body looked less muscley

This seems very strong. Also 2 sets nearly back to back with Imperialdramon as a theme. I like Imperialdramon but I just know some folks are rolling their eyes. I'm still waiting on a Monzaemon package myself!

I wonder if the point in the game where this shows up keeps it from being as oppressive as Himi was. Playing Himi and then digivolving on him was a lower investment than two level 4s on the board of the correct colors, and the freeze doesn't get refreshed on an attack. This card reads "all Digimon," but how often does it hit more than 1 target in the BT12 meta? It's got a high ceiling but the floor remains to be seen.

Also ST9 Dinobeemon had a lockdown effect on DNA digivolve, and while that was powerful it fell off somewhat as more sets came out. Not just that, but the ST9 Imperialdramon was a solid extender when it was played- the new Imperialdramon has very similar effect to the EX1 Imperialdramon which was somewhat ignored. It's not a perfect 1 to 1 comparison.

I'll have to test it with my playgroup. I'm skeptical that this is going to be a tier 0 superthreat but I'm very good friends with being wrong

I'd probably give that to Wargreymon or Omegamon. If you combine fighter mode and dragon mode, Wargreymon cards still have them beat in printings.

it's going to take a lot for the "Pikachu" and "Charizard" of Digimon to not be Agumon and (any version of) Greymon respectively.
The ExVeemon family I would say are more Lucario levels of shilling

Yeah, Veemon is more the Eevee to Agumon's pikachu.
