Suijinmon & Raidenmon Preview for Booster Set 9

The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated with card previews from Booster Set 9 X Record. This time it's Suijinmon & Raidenmon.

Not a huge surprise for these two to show up after earlier. Suijinmon and Raidenmon both continue on the theme we saw earlier with Fujinmon & Raijinmon.

I sort of expected Raidenmon to be a level 7. Cool to see him fighting against the Digimon World 3 Perfects. Cannondramon's shade of green and the cannon placement in the Sujinmon card sort of remind me of WezenGammamon in a way.

Guess he's more of a burst mode. Altho having ultimates fight him, I guess you fight raidenmon first?

And I wonder if they'll edit this card, the English DW3 changed the letters on this digimons guns

I used to play Digimon world 3 it was my first Digimon game, this makes me think of how would it be like if they adapted into an anime instead of Frontiers back then.

This Raidenmon card does have a de-digivolve effect, although it only works on one and not three

I was expecting him to be 13000 DP.

I guess he's only slightly stronger than his previous forms.

I was also expecting him to be Super Rare.

They teased that it would be Lv.6 when it appeared on BT9-102 Option card, which only affects Lv.6 Machine Digimon.

[When Digivolving] You may trash 1 card with [Machine] or [Cyborg] in its traits from your hand to return 1 of your opponent's Lv. 4 or lower Digimon to the bottom of its owner's deck.
[Inherited Effect]: [When Attacking] Return 1 of your opponent's Lv. 4 or lower Digimon to its owner's hand.

Suijinmon is a much better Ultimate for Koemon now that the parallels between it and Canondramon have been pointed out to me.

It had the water theme of Hookmon, the centaur theme of Assaultmon and the bearing of an ape.

Good that Raidenmon has a pseudo jogress effect.

Oh? Raidenmon with lv6? Not "lv7"? It suffered Rafflesimon's treatment...
But the evo requirement does confirm it's "jogress" of trio gods. Genius ideas for designing this effects.

I love those cards! Each god fighting against each DW3 partner and this Raidenmon vs 3 Perfect levels of DW3 partners!

Glad to see Kyukimon, GrapLeomon and Assasultmon in this!

Really happy with all the DW3 references. Also neat to see GrapLeomon, Assaultmon, and Kyukimon in Raidenmon's art. And, of course, Cannondramon in Suijinmon's art, as Cannondramon is one of my favorite megas. I hope we get a new Monmon that works well with a future Cannondramon.

I'm honestly not so surprised by Raidenmon being a Lv.6. Even though it's implied to be a Jogress of the other three, its profile description is pretty much just "it's a really, really heavy tank equipped with a railgun", which sounds fairly unimpressive for even an average Ultimate, let alone a Super Ultimate.

You do. Raidenmon is part of the Chief Officer's party, which you fight in the game world. The other three make up Lord Megadeath's party, which is fought on the Gunslinger satellite right before the final battle with Ragnamon.
