A few small updates...

First up, some social media art by Kenji Watanabe showing Agumon battling a number of Algomon. The message he posted with it was:
"Something about how Agumon fought felt fresh.

Plus a reference book update with some high resolution art!

It's Algomon (Baby 2) from Digimon Adventure:!

From the tweet they posted the art with:
"The old Digimon that makes a new appearance" turned out to be Algomon who appeared in the 2006 "Digimon Savers movie"~šŸ˜†
And thanks to onkei for a translation of the reference book profile...

Level: Baby II
Type: Mutant
Attribute: NA
Technique: Acidic bubbles
Profile: The grown form of the newly born Algomon. It attaches itself to places that have a high capacity of data flow, sucking up the data using the mouth on its underside. When enemies approach, it shoots "Acidic bubbles" from the pattern on its body that looks like a giant eye.

Also, not sure how high it might have ranked while I was asleep earlier, but did get a screenshot of Adventure: ranking quite highly on Crunchyroll...

Being 6th at all is pretty good considering we only found out about it the day before.

And last up for Card Game fans...

Episode 6 of Fun Digica is up!

They continue battling with the starter decks, this time one of them switching to using Heaven's Yellow.

A few screenshots...

I was hoping it would be one of the baby Digimon who uses something other than bubbles like Tokomon but oh well. Like, it had those tentacles it could hit enemies with.

Hoping we get the profiles of the Rookie and Champion soon.

basically always ends up being the case when toei vs bandai tbh lol. usually people think a digimon looks bad in toei style (like the kizuna forms) but then like them in bandai form.

this instance is the opposite for me. I definitely prefer how the baby Algomon looks in Adventure: 2020's art style than here with the oddly glossy, more artificial looking look. I really hope we get to see Algomon's baby 1 form, maybe my opinion would change on which style I like more for that one.
I'm very glad Aventure: 2020 is in the top results! Hopefully we get even more promotion as I would love to get as many new and returning fans as possible, especially when this series starts seeing language dubs

same funnily enough. Toei are better, for once.

I mean it doesn't look like Kenji drew this. This artstyle is somewhat creepier to look at.

definitely. Toei makes me think the babies are cute and that "I want one!" with more weak and less threatening appearance but the Bandai art I would freak out and run away from in real life. Can you imagine this thing's artificial, emotionless stare as it approaches and suddenly from its numbs emerge tendrils?
