The Digimon Card Game Twitter (2) (3) has updated with card previews from Booster Set RB-01 Rising Wind. This time it's ShinMonzaemon, Pulsemon, Palmon, Agnimon, & Wolfmon.

Reprint previews this time are Pulsemon, Palmon, Agnimon, & Wolfmon. They're promo cards and from Booster Set 5.

ShinMonzaemon gets his first card which appears to be doing his special attack Nightmare Rain with some nicely detailed art.

Oh boy ShinMonzaemon card! With that appearance and those babies like that, it's really hard to tell if he is holding the hostages or happily embrace those babies with his love...

And Pulsemon's background turned out as it's only trees with that unique art style! I seriously thought Pulsemon running at full speed to get away from the explosions for the sake of the training to evolve.

man, ShinMonzaemon for sure feels less like a vaccine than both BlitzGreymon and BanchoMamemon do. The guy's fixation on children creeps me out and I'm not sure what about the ShinMonzaemon species would make it yellow lore-wise although it does have super yellow effects in terms of gameplay. Maybe they just wanted a card that felt like "protecting" the children by putting them in "security" while nerfing adult and above Digimon and yellow just works perfectly for all those mechanics.

That first effect is really interesting to me. Sure you can play it to where your security is now bulky by stuffing it with rookies but aren't all those theoretical rookies you'd gain security from much more valuable on the field? And Yellow doesn't feel like a color to want to add to its opponent's security with that [When Attacking] effect, especially since you're not rookie rushing.
I'm not quite seeing the gameplan here. If anybody thinks of any strategies with Shin please let me know!

[When Digivolving] Place all level 3 Digimon at the top of their owner's security stack face down in any order. Then, all of your opponent's level 4 or higher Digimon get -3000 DP and <Security Attack -1> until the end of your opponent's turn.
[When Attacking] By trashing 1 card with [Numemon] in its name from this Digimon's digivolution cards, place 1 of your opponent's Digimon at the bottom of their security stack face down.

That effect is pretty matched to his profile and it's very unique for putting the enemy's digimon to bottom of security face down...

Pretty cool for nerfing their enemy levels, too. They sure know how to design fun effects to match to their own profiles.

But still this card screams it's Purple card in every way and it should belong to WaruMonzaemon...

it's a good removal but I still feel weird about healing my opponent and still having to fight that Digimon when I eventually check security.
And the first effect I have no idea what the upside of it is.

Out of all the cards I can remember, I think this is the weirdest card I've ever seen in this game in terms of effects. Its goals are beyond my understanding

But just like how BlitzGreymon and Dukemon can seem so radically different from a typical Virus, I like seeing more Vaccines with questionable morals, especially when it doesn't just boil down to "Virus-murdering extremist" for the umpteenth time. I've said before that Vaccines are my least favorite attribute (at least out of the standard three*) because so many of them seem to have been pigeonholed into "protagonist role" (especially after the anime started), so more variety among them is most welcome.

*If we were talking about all attributes in general, my least favorite would be Variable, just because it seems so pointless and redundent, essentially being Free for Hybrids.
