Shakkoumon & Option Card Aramitama Previews for Booster Set 8

The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated with card previews from Booster Set 8 New Hero. This time it's Shakkoumon & option card Aramitama.

After a good number of Armadimon & Patamon related previews over awhile, we get Shakkoumon! And his card art features him in the midst of his jogress sequence from Digimon Adventure 02. We also get option card Aramitama, featuring Shakkoumon firing his signature eyebeams. Very nice looking cards for both of them.

Guess as we're slowly filling out the cardlist, I thought I'd give it a try for fun and try to predict all the possible additions which may still come. I might be completely off and I'm sure some random additions we can't possibly predict by logic could completely destroy the list below, but oh well, here it is behind a spoiler wall:

In-Training:
- Blue: Tokomon is an option, we had 2 blue Patamon's so far and only a yellow starter deck Tokomon.
- Black: Kyukyumon (most likely) OR a black version of Koromon
- Purple: honestly no clue, purple has been really enigmatic with the pre-release reveals

Red Cards:
- Hippogriffomon (Zhuqiamon is in the set, so a red Hippogriffomon could be added as a pre-evolution, could also be dual-coloured as red & yellow to play along with the Silphymon strategy)
- CanoWeissmon (evolution of BetelGammamon, but I wonder if they'll go as far as to include him in this prior to his first appearance in the anime)
- Valkyrimon (Further evolution of Silphymon, but I have a bit of a doubt they'll include Silphymon's & Shakkoumon's megas)

Blue Cards:
- Monmon OR ExVeemon (blue might still be missing another rookie, Hookmon might imply a new Monmon, otherwise they might also make a new ExVeemon, but I doubt that as that was already added to Starter Deck #9 + Veemon gets 3 Lv. 4's from his armor evolutions alone)
- Paildramon AND/OR MagnaAngemon (leaning more towards MagnaAngemon for the same reasons that I feel ExVeemon will not be in the set + a dual coloured MagnaAngemon would be cool and it made a significant appearance in the 02 anime)
- Seraphimon (we know the Digimon 02 movie will be featured in this set, so this is a good opportunity to give us a dual coloured Seraphimon

Yellow
- Salamon or another Liollmon? (I have my doubt about this one, as Salamon was in Starter Deck #10, meanwhile every other yellow card gives us no hints as to what could be in the set, could just be a random card, we can't quite see coming.)
- Pegasusmon (Patamon is in the set + it places nicely into a yellow & blue strategy which is quite present in the set)
- Magnadramon (Is here for the same reason Seraphimon is in blue + could be yellow & purple, which is also a heavily presented dual colour combo)

Green
- Exermon (tie-in between Pulsemon & Pistmon)
- Runnermon (Pulsemon's card references 3 out of 4 evolutions for Pulsemon, in a way I wouldn't be surprised, if two of his champions make the cut here)
- Gargomon (bound to happen based on Terriermon's support effect)
- Climbmon OR Rapidmon (again, I don't see why Pistmon's inclusion must mean Climbmon's exclusion, on the other hand we have Rapidmon as the direct evolution of Gargomon, but they might not add him to this set at all, as we are getting Rapidmon - Gold)
- MegaGargomon (natural evolution of Rapidmon)

Black
- Kotemon (another black rookie is basically confirmed for the set, so maybe an alternative Kotemon to serve as pre-evolution for SkullKnightmon)
- Axemon (Very likely to happen considering the inclusion of SkullKnightmon - Cavalier Mode)
- Ginryumon (Also very likely to happen considering we already have the rest of the evolution line confirmed)

Purple (with Purple it's just hard to predict anything right now, I could be completely off on this one)
- Rookies?? (probably 2 or 3, but there's very little to go off from)
- Dokugumon (purple & green, pre-evolution of Arukenimon)
- Nefertimon (I don't think Gatomon will be all too present in this set due to it being the focus of Starter Deck #10, but a purple & yellow Nefertimon would be nice)
- Mummymon (Henchman of Oikawa)
- Arukenimon (Henchman of Oikawa + there seems to be a minor attempt at making a green + purple combo in this set with the inclusion of Kougamon)
- Daemon (SkullSatamon implies it's addition)

Additional thoughts:

- MarineDevimon - blue & purple, could be Daemon support
- SlashAngemon - Widely accepted as Shakkoumon's evolution, but again, I'm not sure Silphymon & Shakkoumon will be going mega in this set.

Yeah, I can see that and to be fair we could still get both Paildramon and MagnaAngemon. ExVeemon is almost confirmed to not be in the set, unless there's only 2 blue rookies, otherwise there's just no room for another blue Lv. 4.

 

[Sparrow Hawk]

I like Jogress partners in the background arts, it's making them look so epic behind 02 Perfects. It'd be much better if Dinobeemon gets a new card with that background art... Obviously it will not happen...
