Before requesting proxy/middleman service, please read the Sales and Trading rules.

This thread is for requesting a proxy/middleman service to obtain an item. I.e - you see a Digimon plush on a Japanese auction site, but cannot bid yourself as you don't know Japanese. You see a plush on Ebay America but they won't ship world wide. Think you get the drift there.

Anyone familiar and has the requirements as per the rules, happy to step up to the plate as a lead on this kind of thing? Chances are for any UK item I could prolly help out, depending what it is!

Hello. I would like to request a middleman from USA. First, this is not for sure: I've seen a D-Cyber in an auction for $29,99 plus shipping, PLUS import charges. I'm guessing that those import charges (which really get the price up) are because eBay's Global Shipping Program, but I'm not sure.

SO, if the middleman could skip the import charges, I'd like a proxy there. OR if anyone can tell me how to avoid those import charges (although I'm pretty sure that I can't do anything about them), please tell me.

Auction ends in 4d15h so it is kinda urgent but I'm not in a hurry.

Thanks :)

Legality wise, import charges can't be got around. Looks like Ebay is cosying up with customs (who can kiss my ass). A middleman should also put it on customs as a purchase rather than gift. But eh, what we don't know won't hurt.
