Poll Results for Digimon Classification You Want to Join

A bit ago, the official Digimon site put up a poll for which Digimon classification you'd want to join.

Recently the poll closed and we have the results!




And the winner is... Dragon's Roar!

Thanks for all the votes. From the report "Classification of Digimon" published in Digimon Profile, the most voted for classification that you want to join is... Dragon's Roar!

Dragon's Roar, which has dragon data in the Digicore and is descened from dragon and dinosaur type Digimon, which contains many well known Digimon. It took first place by a huge margin over second.

Second place is Virus Busters, a group of Digimon who have the power to stop virus species.

Third place is Metal Empire, a group of mechanical and cyborg-type Digimon who have homes in abandoned factories composed of junk heaps, & railroad tracks.

This probably the reason of the popularity or at least "the first" digimon that make it popular.

top four went literally exactly like I imagined it would, though I thought Nature Spirits would have gotten more votes, Dragon's Roar getting over a fourth of the votes was a bit above my expectations.

So predictable... Dragon's Roar. I hope they shouldn't dare to release more new dragon digimons after this... Unless if they know how to design it to be totally badass.

But I'm saddened Deep Savers and Jungle Trooper didn't get enough love... Thought Pendulum Z series had a chance to boost Deep Savers' popularity but nope...

I think I suspect Machine Empire won just next to Virus Busters because I do see a lot of fans drew their arts that happened to be something wearing metal and edgier in the entire internet. Let it be fan or official digimon. Whatever.

Compare with pokemon fan, digimon have few fan-girl. I also bit surprised, i though digimon fan will love waifu digimon (plant) more. But if see in insect and power aspect;
- we never see strong mega insect (both villain or "hero") in anime
- rosemon and lilymon look so weak compare to angewomon
- stingmon strong and cool but it end up to being dragon
- tentomon line being part of nature spirit, even so he's not cooler than stingmon or look strong in anime

It also misses the point of Opossumon evolving into a(n apparently) not-cute creature. Though I guess it could be an Ugly Duckling situation. Pretty sure Airu regards Cho Hakkaimon as just barely "weird-cute". And that is the point, Opossummon is becoming the Digimon she believes Airu wants as...

They still fill dragon type with "another element" that they didn't do before.
But at least they create virus version of "virus buster"

For deep savers;
- They make metalseadramon as the first being lose from dark masters
- None of deep savers main character in anime have important role like Angemon
- If chackmon evolve into cool mega or ranamon evolve into pretty lady mega like rosemon maybe it popularity more high
- They make Zudomon evolve into Vikemon after few years later (Tri / 2020 ver), but even so Wargreymon Garurumon Omnimon already make big fan than him.
- Maybe Jellymon can make high their popularity soon (Also as healer like MarinAngemon). I'm want to see how Tethismon will be, and wonder if "Will they create another healer digimon in Deep Savers?"

If you see all character of every series :
Dragon Roar, Nature Spirit [Beast], Virus Busters [Light related], Nightmare Soldier always take part part as digimon main character. And when evolve to perfect or mega it become "Metal Empire" or VB[Holy Knight/Warrior] or NSo[Dark evolution] . And Xros Wars make it more hated because it full metal since the start (Most in my country hate digimon to be more metal).

The underated (Deep Savers[Aquatic, ice], Wind Guardians[bird], Jungle Troopers[insect,plant]) take role as additional in every series. And not take important role or look strong than other field character.

I voted for Nightmare Soldiers. I am a little surprised it didn't beat out Metal Empire at least, but placing under Virus Busters and Dragon's Roar was to be expected.

If Jungle Troopers is to ever stand a chance, they need to properly separate the plant-based Digimon from Wind Guardians. But then again, I suppose if they did that, it'd lead to the consequence of Wind Guardians being a small group. Birds, winged dragons, and other flight-focused Digimon are hardly the most prolific types (though aside from a few dragons in Dragon's Roar, it doesn't seem like there'd be a horrible amount of overlap, certainly not to the degree that Jungle Troopers has now). I thought it was especially telling that the Cyber Sleuth games struggled to have any Virus-types with the wind element (they kinda had to stretch and make Megadramon and Gigadramon have it, despite being recognizeable as Metal Empire boys, while Mercurymon was eventually added to Hacker's Memory.... though I'm sure Ornismon could've worked too had it been included).
