So, Trademark registrations for Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon have been found, together with logos. Domain registrations have also been found, so it seems we already know what will be revealed in in the Pokémon Direct in a few hours. Last week, Masuda tweeted an image of the moon saying it was out at the same time as the sun, and some people are saying we should have seen this coming.
Also, in a previous Pokémon interview, "flowers" was given as a clue for the franchise in 2016. ShinyXatu from PokéJungle said this probably refers to flowers following the sun and the moon.
(By the way, I joked in a PokéJungle comment that this meant the third game was Pokémon AZ with Eternal Flower Floette as the mascot and mentioned how Complete Zygarde's body slightly resembles an "A".)
Okay, I intended to post a thread about Magearna a few days ago, but I didn't finish writing the first post, so I'll modify it, and merge the discussion here.
So, a new Pokémon named Magearna was revealed and it'll appear in this year's movie. Magearna is the Artificial Pokémon and was made by human hands 500 years ago.
Now, this Pokémon is dividing the fandom: Will we have a Generation 7 now or a Generation 6.5? Zygarde has new forms, but no new game revealed.
One thing people noticed is that Magearna's body apprently can fold into a Pokéball-like shape, so there's theories we'll find it in the Pokéball Factory in the next game. The synopsis for the movie mentios Magearna was made in Azoth Kingdom, and Project AZOTH is one of the mysteries of Gen6, and as such, many people think it's intrinsecally connected to G6. People were speculating about Pokémon Z having new Pokémon, and there was even a fake leak list from 4chan. I at least hope the Dragon Eeveelution (Dorahhia, 770) really happens, so we have too Eeveelutions in Kalos. Anyway, this idea seems strange for some, because they never had Pokémon of a Generation being completely incompatible with games of the same Generation, but ORAS gave us moves incompatible to XY, which was never done before, so I guess everything is possible now.
Then SM (Sailor Moon) was leaked. Now there's a discussion of whether this is an entire new Gen or a sequel to Kalos. Some believe this is a GSC situation where we'll get to visit Kalos after the new region, and it's somehow conencted to Kalos, perhaps the region Kalos was in war with 3000 years ago.
One thing I noticed was that the logos are orange and light blue, the non-Kalos colors in Complete Zygarde's chest. This guy also posted a theory, but Lando the HoennChamp has put a more detailed diagram. So, the new game is likely somehow G6.5 or what a G2 situation would be if it was done nowadays.
Another interesting theory.
Thoughts?
Also, the Mysterious Souvenir is totally going to be tradeable for this game, which means it's probably compatible with G6, and the Hiker is totally from this new region.
We'll probably see the trailer in a few hours.
Yeah, Sun and Moon. Way to ripoff Digimon, GameFreak.Junichi Masuda said:The Sun is still out, but the Moon is big, bright, and shining!! The birds are also tweeting. (Laughs)
