Plesiomon Preview for Booster Set 14

The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated with card previews from Booster Set 14 Blast Ace. This time it's Plesiomon.

Plesiomon gets some very crisp and nice artwork of it mid battle. The attack being shown, based on artistic interpretation, could be either Sorrow Blue or Shaking Pulse, both signature attacks.

Was not expecting him. Was thinking Vikemon. Then again he's a possible evo right? The early years were odd. Just like Tamagotchi. Can believe he evolves into Aegisdramon.

Well, they don't seem to try doing anything Tri with this set.

By as much as we know the set won't focus on megas at all with Ace Ultimates being the big new thing to snatch in the set. WarGreymon might not appear in the set at all, possibly because of WarGreymon Ace being the main card of the new starter deck. There's deinfitely no room for a WarGreymon in the red section (it still could be a black card or a secret rare). Only Digidestined megas we have seen so far are this Plesiomon (if it counts) and Rosemon which is just a rare card, overshadowed by Lillymon Ace.

Interestingly one of the Digidestined partners who was largely missing in any previews so far was Gabumon. There is no room for it to be in the blue section, because we are only missing 1 ultimate and 1 mega. Maybe if they cram it in purple, but with BT-15 focusing on Apocalymon I half believe they might split the Adventure 1 cards across two sets with the ace versions of WereGarurumon, MegaKabuterimon, Garudamon & Angewomon coming in the next one.

I'm still waiting for the day where I will witness Gomamon evolve to this Plesiomon in anime not the games. I'm strong believer!

Well this is a pleasant surprise, I also thought they'd prioritize Vikemon but I'm glad they did another reference to the older line. Plus, Plesiomon is one of my favorite Digimon so I'm always happy to see more love for it.

Well the 2020 cards doesn't have any text stories. So which is it? :

1. Another new encounter
2. Before Plesiomon gets stabbed thrust - beginning battle
3. Repeating ocean war turf battles
4. With no battle story in it = no way to confirm

So this could be a nod to that.

For the battle vs Regalecusmon. In this card, Plesiomon is winning. In BT4-034, it's Regalecusmon who is winning.

It could be in the same battle. As the artist is same person.
It's like in Regalecusmon the score is 1-0 then here the score is 1-1. A fair battle. We don't know who's gonna be the winner.

It's really hard to judge like that because I don't see Plesiomon suffering any "wounds" from Regalecusmon if it's continuation battle or something like that...
