Option Cards Un Deux Pollen & Whirlwind Turbine Kick Previews for Booster Set 4

The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated with card previews from Booster Set 4 Great Legend. This time it's the option cards Un Deux Pollen & Whirlwind Turbine Kick.

Both of these are drawn in a similar 'cartoon plus more detail' type styling that works really well. Un Deux Pollen shows Lilamon mid-dance, spreading around pollen for her attack. It feels really dynamic and you can basically see her movement in the way things are detailed.

Whirlwind Turbine Kick shows GrapLeomon in the midst of a powerful kick using his turbine at full bore to boost what he's doing. The energy is drawn coming out it basically as flames and there is some great little bits of spark type effects throughout the card showing that.



Digimon Card Game Booster Set 4 Great Legend is scheduled to release on December 18th.

Grapleomon being in isn't that surprising, it's the most obvious Perfect for the Banchouleomon line and we all knew that was in because of Chaosmon.

That said, I always love its ridiculous Dendoh limbs, and they're on full display in that art, so I can't be hating.

If they are including "Burst Mode" in this set, then I just pray that BanchoLeomon Burst Mode is one of them. He's been ignored for far too long in the games and still doesn't have an official artwork as of yet.

Grap Leomon was expected but it's still weird to see in green.

Some nice Rest-based effects here. Granted, Lilamon's one depends more on you running a deck with a decent number of DigiBurst cards, but I'm sure that'll be more invest worthy as time goes by and we get more cards in the game.

I'll contend that GrapLeomon feels weird in Green, but the rest of the line feels fine in that colour imo.

I wonder if it's that same artist who drew Palmon with the most beautiful background in the Battle Spirit card? Lilamon card is extremely similar as that card. What beautiful artwork.

GrapLeomon's epic kick looks amazing, I love how it emits sparks violently.

Huh. I was kinda expecting LoaderLiomon to get another printing in Green this time, considering we've gotten Darkdramon's family, Liollmon, OG Falcomon and Valdurmon, the Chaosmon twins, and even OG Kudamon on an Option Card, just felt like LoaderLiomon would've made sense considering they seemed to have been going towards an Accel reunion.

Anyways, the cards are nice. Suspending is a pretty standard thing for Green, but these offer enough that I could see them ending up being used over their contemporaries.

Accel reunion? Not without TyrantKabuterimon/evo line, Spinomon and IMPORTANTLY SWIMMON.

I'm sorry but I doubt it. There's no space for other yellow Lv.6s if you watch the numbers of the already released cards, unless they are Secret Rares.

At that point I was referring to yellow Digimon in general. Anyway, I agree that it would have been weird to have SEC Sleipmon, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Jesmon, Examon, or Alphamon (even not Ouryuken) as a secret rare in the future, personally.
