Ichi-no-tachi features Tactimon using his blade to cause a mighty earthquake.

And we have some more previews...

Arata, neat! that's three Cyber Sleuth characters now. Basically the game's main trio too, so no one was really left out. Rina technically make 4 CS character too, even if she did debut in ReDigitize (whilst the western fandom will know her from CS, rather than RD)

Hopefully Hacker's Memory is up next. If they stick with three though one of them will have to be left out like how they left Keenan out of the Data Squad characters. In regards to Keisuke, Ryuji, Chitose, and Erika I think Chitose is probably who they would leave out of the four. Keisuke is the protag, I feel like you have to include Erika cuz of Hudiemon, and then with Ryuji and Chitose Ryuji is more important to the plot than Chitose is. Would be a good time to establish Chitose with a Mega form for his Shakkoumon though, annoyed they didn't give him one in the game...

Speaking of Megas, since this Arata comes with Armageddemon I guess, I'm still sad they never had Arata go into Armageddemon in Hacker's Memory. They kinda couldn't with the timeline since he only gets Diaboromon in the original game's final chapter meaning there's literally no time for him to be able to get Armageddemon without retcons/plot holes, but I still wanted to see it lol. This is at least a minor "here's Arata with Armageddemon!" thing, even if we didn't get to see him with an actual Armageddemon in the games itself. Nice touch either way. This just has me wanting HM characters next though, to complete the set for both games. (even if Chitose, Yu, and K wind up being left out I guess... could always have two sets focusing on HM lol)

Also, Arata and Knightmon are part of the same set. Talk about OOF. (for context, a Knightmon killed nearly all of Arata's friends as part of his backstory)

that Kurisarimon card is literally Arata's partner Digimon. That art is one of CS's boss fights that Arata takes part in and helps you in. the wisemon is the one who kidnapped his manga friend and forced her to make art for it. Diaboromon is in Underzero, where his Infermon evolves to Diaboromon. In fact, it's the same exact dungeon as the Knightmon from the Battle Spirits cards (You and Arata/Infermon fight Knightmon in Underzero and when he wins and gets his revenge, Infermon digivolves to Diaboromon)

Image Thumbnail

you can see the same yellow lightning bolt thing in the background. yeah im pretty sure Knightmon and Arata in this set are intentional. Feels weird the CS Knightmon was used as a card in Battle Spirits rather than here. I think the Infermon card is one of the CS dungeons with the random giant hands in the background? Keramon is prob the subway area (someone else mentioned this one as I didnt realise this one myself). I like how all these Keramon line cards show parts from CS's story and I guess all four of them are art of the actual character from Cyber Sleuth.

Of course, Armagemon's evolution sources account for both Black and White Diablomons.

All of these cards directly support each other, for obvious reasons. The Sanada Arata card supports "Unknown-attribute" and "Diablomon". Keramon and Chrysalimon both specifically support cards named "Sanada Arata". And a bunch of other miscellaneous effects, mostly related to "Diablomon".

Armageddemon is here to finally allow Diaboromon decks to be playable while Omegamon is in the format, so that's neat, especially since you can just straight up trade in one of your Diaboromon Tokens for Armageddemon due to how the naming rule played out with Omegamon. Plus, Arata and the rest of his Keramon line really double down on how efficient the deck can generate Tokens, and that meshes really well with the existing Diaboromon cards, especially the Promo version. This Keramon line referencing Cyber Sleuth in one way or another in their artworks is also very neat. Overall, a very neat batch of cards so I'm interested in seeing if it'll be enough for Diaboromon decks to finally take off, since it's still one of the most unique decks in the game at the moment.

Tactimon artwork is superb.

Seems like we won't get Omegamon MM in BT5?

Oh my, Arata as the Sixth Ranger and not Hikari/Takeru? A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.

To add to the background CS references, to me it looks like Keramon is in real-world entrance of the subway, while Infermo at the end of the digital space of it, where boss fights normally happen.

Seems like we won't get Omegamon MM in BT5?
Makes sense to me. Merciful Mode is associated with Tri. foremost, so I think he'll appear when there's a Tri. sub-theme. Also, since the poster is playing up the oposition of Omegamon and Zwart Defeat, it would be weird to put MM without a counterpart (as Alter-B is already one to Alter-S).

Armaggeddemon's art is gorgeous 😦
They're all clean in truth, but this one is really my favorite of the selection, if not from the BT-5 for now.
I'm almost surprised to not see Omegamon being humiliated on his card at this point xD

However, it seems to me that Omegamon Zwart and Zwart D are both confirmed.
It would be a bit unequal to have only one Omegamon (Vaccine) to serve as their counterpart.

Because Tactimon is getting completely overshadowed by the Keramon line, I feel the need to correct this:

Ichi-no-Tachi seems like a decent card, getting to destroy an opponent's LV4 and 5 Digimon so long as they're in the Active position seems like a more situational version of Gaia Force. It's Six Play Cost can certainly be mitigated by Lilithmon's "When You Use an Option Card: +2 Memory" Effect in a neat callback to them being allies in XW. Because it is so situational, I would have preferred if its Security Effect was to put it into my hand for later rather than popping its Main effect when it might not even do anything.

Sure wish Tactimon was in Cyber Sleuth, he would have made a dangerous villain in the game.

And still wish they made Morphomon for Erika’s partner in Hackers Memory instead of Wormmon, such a waste and Kokabuterimon for Keisuke to Tentomon is used to much already give obscure Digimon a chance.

I was wondering why Black only had twelve Digimon cards when the other colors had thirteen. Diablomon's presence explains it. The references in the art are nice, though we've had Keramon's line before. At least Armagemon is new to the game. I suppose the Baby for Black will be Tsumemon again.

Whoa more unique effects. I like it.

Awesome references even Knightmon. All Keramon evos are truly scary. Diablomon looks so demonic there!

But I'm really happy Armagemon finally included Diablomon in its effect because I hate how Armagemon usually show up involving Kuramon only.

Infermon's effect is basically skipped in evo like that War Game movie! Poor Chrysalimon

Armageddemon saw Omnimon getting bodied in his own set and went "I'm going to destroy this man's whole career".
Btw I have a deep hate for Kurisarimon's name, Chrysalimon is strictly better in every way for me.
I'm really happy to see Arata but now I really want cards featuring Eaters whether it be Option, Tamer, or Digimon cards

...Morphomon didn't exist yet when Hacker's Memory came out.
Well they should have made Morphomon earlier for the game instead of waiting years later till the adventure Kizuna movie, I hope booster 5 or 6 card set have fix that when introduce cards of Erika, Morphomon, and Hudiemon.
