Ophanimon: Falldown Mode Preview for Booster Set 8

The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated with a card preview from Booster Set 8 New Hero. This time it's Ophanimon: Falldown Mode.

Ophanimon: Falldown Mode gets some really gorgeous art from longtime Digimon artist & Designer Nakano Haito. Some good dark looking energy around here, a nice reflection of normal Ophanimon in the scythe. It also feels like the card is meant to pair stylistically with the Ophanimon: Falldown Mode card he drew for Battle Spirits Digimon 1.5.

I think this is the nicest art I've ever seen of Ophanimon FM. And the new specific Digimon alternate evolution cost is a good way of doing slide evolutions / mode changes. It'll probably work better than same level alternate costs.

So, based on all things so far I'm guessing Nefertimon will be Yellow & Purple. Seems pretty clear they're trying to add extra support to go along with the 9th & 10th starter decks. We already got BlackGatomon & Ophanimon - Falldown Mode as purple & yellow confirmed, Nefertimon would fit right in as another support card.

...and Pegasusmon will be yellow & blue, as second season Patamon always gets treated as blue and yellow seems like the perfect addition.

I find it amusing how the three Great Angels all have corrupted forms. It’s not like you see cheerful/purified versions of the Demon Lords wandering about for example.

Two of the Demon Lords are already the fully fallen forms of the Great Angels, who would probably count as their purified forms. So we're technically missing the angel forms of the remaining Demon Lords (and we can probably assume one of them will be paired with Cherubimon). Also, Beelzebumon Blast Mode and the Xros Wars variants can count as "purified" versions.
