No, thing is, if something has a "Mercur" in it's name, it's like they feel a compulsive need to do something to it. Mercuremon was Mercurymon in the dub. Not that the meaning wasn't basically the same but--hell, more of a reason to keep it.

Personally, I don't think he could voice a very powerful-sounding character like Mercurimon without sounding just a *little* like Myotismon. It's in all of the "powerful" characters that he voices. How he pulls it off in this instance will be interesting to see, because Mercurimon has a soft-spoken and somber side to him, and he'll have to develop a voice for that side of the character as well as the powerful and sometimes angry side.
