Monimon & Hi-VisionMonitamon Previews for Booster Set 10

The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated with a card preview from Booster Set 10 Xros Encounter. This time it's Monimon & Hi-VisionMonitamon.

Monimon features a number of the little guys, along with a Monitormon and a few Nyokimon, while Hi-VisionMonitamon features him leading a squad of Monitamon.

Monimon can finally evolve! It was like the only thing that didn't fuse or evolve in fusion so it felt weird it existed. Nice or can finally evolve to monitamon since it obviously was always intended to be its pre evo and just...never did anything and instead chilled with Nene

Nyokimon is such a smart pick for Baby I, it fits like a glove, since Monimon has leaf-like green antennae and covering.

You can visualize it as Nyokimon's transparent tissue becoming the harder, but still soft shell of Monimon, with only the screen remaining as a transparent tissue.

The art of Monimon and Hi-VisionMonitamon is whimsical and cute, as well. I really like the concept for Monitamon, so I hope they can get proper level V and VI evolutions in the future.

Okay, that actually makes this choice gel with me more. I saw the leaf to antennae thing when I first saw this but I forgot that Nyokimon's body was encased in a layer of transparent tissue.

Now that Monitamon was a Botamon subspecies in Level 1, I wonder what dragonic version of Monitamon family they could evolve in their Ultimate. One day, maybe one day.

I'm glad you folks liked the headcanon. I also like the little blank eyes in a non-detailed face are an aspect they both share, as well.

I was actually unaware of their typing till @Bancho translated the card effects, and it occurred to me they would probably continue the trend by making new ones be LED/OLED screens XD

But I like the hologram screen idea. Would prevent it from feeling too old a few years from now.

I think Guidemon would work better as an alt evolution path considering it loses the ninja theme.
