Mitamamon, Xiaomon, & Labramon Previews for Booster Set EX-05

The Digimon Card Game Twitter (2) (3) has updated with card previews from Booster Set EX-05 Animal Colosseum. This time it's Mitamamon, Xiaomon, & Labramon

Mitamamon gets a card with a very dynamic use of color, in what feels a bit like a take on its profile art, Xiaomon features some fun art of it playing with a Paomon, and Labramon also features it playing with a Paomon (perhaps being the Xiaomon from the prior card evolved.)

Happy we get Mitamamon but.. after all this wait for ReArise characters and debut digimon (except Herrismon and evos), it feels anticlimactic. We got Gaioumon IM teasing, we got many Leomon lines that could go to HeavyLeomon, but no one of them appeared to the point where we (or I) hope for them to get cards together in one booster with their tamers.

I understand Mitamamon is another God Beast digimon beside Huanglongmon so to be here is good but I probably should lower my expectation for ReArise themed booster.

And, Siesamon is coming? Hopefully it's the X.

More likely to be Dobermon, since Labramon is purple and Dobermon was in the Pendulum Progress.

Oh so it turned out Mitamamon card appeared instead of Sleipmon X card... Oh well at least I'm happy to see Mitamamon card with so good effect!

Finally, Mitamamon card now we need Lovely Angemon, Heavyleomon, and Gaiomon IM.

Yeah, makes sense they'd do Labramon, when Dobermon & Cerberusmon X were the alternative dog line on the Animal Colosseum PP and Cerberusmon X ties in well as an alternative pre-evolution for MetalGarurumon X.

I guess at this point it's safe to predict most of the missing Digimon, with the exception of black:

Red: Just missing Flaremon
Blue: MetalGarurumon X is missing it's line, Crescemon and the remaining 2 blue devas
Yellow: Most likely the BanchoLeomon pre-evolutions. We know Liollmon is in the set.
Green: We're just missing the 2 green devas.
Black: Currently hardest to predict, but it's likely we'll get a Black/Green Leomon (maybe X) & GrapLeomon out of it to tie together with pretty much all Leomon related stuff in the set + 2 black devas. That'd leaves us with 3-5 black cards unrevealed - maybe Grimmon will be in black, there's certainly little room for him in purple... BUT on second thought Bearmon & Grizzlymon are more likely given they were on the Animal Colosseum Vpet.
Purple: Dobermon & Cerberusmon (maybe X) will likely follow. Final slot in purple feels like it should be a level 6 -> maybe a new Anubimon or Plutomon.

That Mitamamon card is really good. Barrier to all your monsters and a constant Venusmon like effect as long as it can't be taken out. Cheap and easy to set up with the new Reppamon as well.

As for my lovely purple more support for the Dark Animal archetype seems to be happening with a Shaman(Anubis or Plutomon) as a top end. I'd like it if the new Dobermon and Cerberusmon are generic and good.

With the dobermon x reveal tonight, I'm assuming we will see cerberusmon x as the level 5. Considering cerberus x can also evolve into MetalGarurumon X (who got another card this set that is dual blue/purple), it makes sense. Thers a couple spots left in purple for level 6s so I'm assuming that we will see more plutomon and anubimon cards.

I guess all the Labramon art blurred together in my mind because this art looked very familiar to me. I think this is because every artist who has drawn Labramon for this card game has drawn it super on-model with little stylization. The closest we got is this Kenji Watanabe art but even that is pretty tame for Kenji in stylization. I guess you can say it's a very domesticated pupper
