No, that doesn't sound right. All 52 episodes got dubbed - you can see the list on Wikipedia. The important thing to remember about the Medabots dub is that it's not in order.
In Japan, the first 26 episodes consisted of single-episode comedy adventures, while the latter 26 involved the revelation of the Medaforce, Doctor Meta-Evil, his use of Rare Medals to take over the world's Medabots, and the World Robattle Championships and the series finalie.
The dub reorganized things so that the Medaforce/Meta-Evil/takeover story formed the finale of Season 1. The single-adventure episodes that they removed from the first set of 26 were then used to form the opening part of Season 2, which ended, like the Japanese version, with the Championships. This actually created one or two continuity errors - one of those episodes was the one in which Koji started studying the Shadow Sword, which otherwise came out of nowhere in Season 1, and.... nn, there was something else, but I forget what. Maybe it was... Cyandog becoming Krosserdog?
Holy crap, just *thinking* about this makes me want DVDs. I actually think I have a VHS with taped copies of the World Robattle Championship episodes lying around...
