Not sure if I should post this here or in writing. But let's make a thread about making original characters. I'll start.

I'll think I'll name my tamer Mary. She has a Lopmon partner that goes down the dark evolution path. Her basic character is a bit of a mean girl or lovable mean girl trope. Is the head of the cheerleaders and has a great boyfriend. However, she is known to go to great lengths to get what she wants or destroy her rivals, be it by lies, spreading rumors, or sheer humiliation.

Lobmon acts like a member of her girl posse, doing whatever she says and praising her. Lobmon first digivoles into Wendigomon when she just wants to get rid of the Digimon that had been attacking her. She finds that Wendigomon is a nearly uncontrollable beast. Haven't found a reason to digivole into Andiramon yet. But Mary's development will be around figuring out the ugly parts of herself.

Let me know if you have any ideas or original characters of your own feel free to post.

I like the idea of the typical blonde mean girl as a tamer, though my take on it would be more as an antagonist (with or without redemption)
Lopmon i feel is a bit overused, though Lopmon X might still work with the extra gold and being really fancy.
Cutemon and Madomon also work really good with that idea in mind, i could see something like a prom queen line with Cutemon>Shortmon>Weddinmon>Rafflesimon

Here's how I'd do it:
Think of EVERY Tamer in Season 3 and go 'How would X fit in with Takato, Henry or Rika?'
Would that kid be older, younger? What would their Digimon be like. Were they a loner, a jock? Maybe someone who had no interest in Digimon at all and they have to learn about it rapidly while keeping the secret.
Maybe they are the nephew of one of the G-Men characters hunting the Digimon.

The characters I'm most proud of conceptualizing are this duo of adult protagonists.

The main protagonist is this thirty-something who was a cop when younger and arrested the wrong man. After the arrest, due to remembering some repressed memories of his own past, he discovers that the man is innocent, but the japanese justice system is really implacable in a very flawed way and the man is quickly sentenced to death. The cop leaves the force, his family disowns him, his fiancée leaves him and he ends up alone with only his sense of justice. One could say he's got the justice genome, wink wink.

The secondary protagonist is the young adult son of the man who was arrested. He believes his father is guilty and also believes himself - to his fear - to have a great evil inside of him, sort of like if he had an evil genome. Wink wink. This doesn't stop him from loving his father, which makes him conflicted and unable to move on on his life.

Which sort of chaos, wink wink, will be born from the bond of these two men, I wonder?
