After redoing an older leadup with Soul Eater last time, doing one that came out around the same time as Soul Eater, but it's US license is quite a bit more recent...

Kamen no Maid Guy!

General ecchi content with some violence.

The series can be watched on the following officially:
Subbed on Crunchyroll

Short show this time, just 12 episodes total. There is a short standalone OVA that isn't on Crunchyroll.

Also, general disclosure that I worked on this one quite a bit. I have no idea if my work is on the streaming version. The Blu-ray was delayed and is now scheduled for tomorrow: (affiliate link)
Kamen no Maid Guy on Blu-ray

Kamen no Maid Guy is the story of Kogarashi, the Maid Guy, pledged to protect a girl who is an heir to her grandfathers giant fortune (and unaware that minus her and her brother, everyone potentially an heir has mysterious died.) Maid Guy has been summoned to protect Naeka and make sure she is raised right. Naeka mostly wants to train in kendo, and have Maid Guy leave her alone.

Maid Guy, with his 37 senses, training, and loyalty, refuses the idea of leaving her alone, and protects her, while also ruining any attempt she has at having a normal life.

The show has a decent number of Digimon connections. Including a few actors, plus a few animators this time just to spread around what is being credited:
Daisuke Sakaguchi plays Kosuke Fujiwara, Naeka's brother, in Maid Guy. In Digimon he'd most be known as Hackmon in Appmon, but he was also Iguneetmon in Xros Wars, along with a few other small parts elsewhere.
Mayumi Yamaguchi shows up as Yoshie Arayashiki, a girl swearing revenge on Naeka, in an episode of Maid Guy. In Digimon she'd be best known as Gabumon in Adventure, 02, tri., & Kizuna, and Jenrya Lee in Tamers.
Rikiya Koyama plays Kogarashi, the titular Maid Guy. In Appmon he was Dantemon.

Shinji Nagaoka worked on background art for Maid Guy and he was one of the art directors for tri. (along with doing various art design and the background art for a few of the EDs.)
Naomi Yoshida did key animation for Maid Guys intro and did the same for a number of episodes of Tamers, Fronter, Data Squad, plus the Frontier movie.

I've embedded the intro for the series as a preview:

Feel free to post as you wish in this thread. You can post as you are watching, episode by episode, when you finish. Whatever you want. Try and give it a couple days for later spoilers so people have time to try and view stuff without spoilers, while still interacting in the thread (especially if you decide to keep watching past the episode listed as the last one for the leadup.) If you watch one episode and it isn't for you, pop in to explain why. Have fun with it!

A new show/movie will go up each Sunday night (or early on Monday), but feel free to keep talking about older shows in their threads, or even watching past the listed episode.

If you want to chat in the Discord you can.

Hopefully you enjoy. Feel free to make any suggestions or ask an questions regarding the threads or the shows also.

To be honest, when I looked at With the Will on Monday and saw that this week's show was called Maid Guy, I thought, "...What the hell is Marc having us watch now?" However, I was reassured by the poster and synopsis, and for the most part the show turned out to be a lot of fun. I loved Kogarashi. There were even some unexpected jokes. I'm not sure why all of the maids had names with a cold/winter theme, but I laughed when I looked up what Shizuku meant. It's a shame there isn't a second season, especially when the plot was starting to kick in and they specifically said that Maid Guy, like James Bond, would return. But now that over a decade has passed it seems unlikely. Maybe I'll read the manga someday instead.
