Koromon & Tsunomon Preview for Booster Set 5

The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated with card previews from Booster Set 5 Battle of Omega. This time we get Koromon & Tsunomon.

Both feature some really nice artwork that appears very animeish with a nice level of detail. Koromon has him having a meal with Botamon, while Tsunomon has him in the snow with Punimon.



Digimon Card Game Booster Set 5 Battle of Omega is scheduled to release on February 26th.

The art is always cool, even on the less visually exciting baby Digimon.

As for the effects, I can't help but feel they're kinda the wrong way round tbh. Regardless, they continue the role of being focused on helping getting your Omegamon themed deck which is fine if a little limiting if you're not running a non-Omegamon Deck.

So much specific target effects lately. I hope the next new series will introduce new effects like "If it contains something in its name or Type/Attribute then insert whatever effects.

It would be much better. Also Tamer cards need additional effects if even it included their certain partners at least just include their vague Type/Attribute/etc

I realized, after we landed on Booster set 5 yet there are no signs of any news for 6 or higher because, as we reach 2 or 3rd series, we'd get the news at instant for the news of set 4 to 5. Something happened?

If they go by attribute they might need to balance it depending on the frequency per color. Like vaccine and Virus have some easy placement in Red decks. virus in general has plenty of targets in Black and Purple.

We do have some like that, though, ironically, none with the adventure tamers. VTamer Taichi has some direct interaction and the 02 ones at least have a card that specifies them (albeit a bad one)

We did get some news on BT6 but it seems mostly around the poll stuff adding some parallels of popular cards to the set

It feels like Tunomon should have been the red one and Koromon the blue one.

but then they're just mild variants of existing digitama in those colors

I know that this is a single case and it's not a general issue, but I would have prefered not to have a baby that makes you draw and that is aviable in a lot of red decks. But at the same time I get that it's difficoult to introduce new babies with original effects if you have these restrictions.
