Kids WB will end at the end of the TV season that just started and be replaced by a block programmed by....
....

4kids.....

but it gets ODDER.

4kids will STILL have/run 4kidsTV on Fox.

In less then 8 years we will have lost BOTH Fox Kids AND Kids WB...

My theory is the same as Jeff Harris'...

Cartoon Network (which no longer just shows cartoons and has gotten far more kiddy over the last few years, and which is considered a seperate network from Adult Swim officially), may VERY WELL be renamed 'Kids WB' when Kids WB ends next year....

...and do you know what a monopoly IS...having shit on 2 channels isn't a monopoly, it's stupid mind you in this setup, but not a monopoly.

It's a 4kids conspiracy to dominate the televised market!

Well sad to say, but while it still existed, KidsWB's been pretty much dead to me for a year now give or take. That doesn't make saying goodbye any easier though, no more so than when Fox Kids slipped away. Go in peace KidsWB.

Alright 4kids, show us what you've got! (crosses fingers for Dino King)

I said 4kids was trying to get a monopoly which means I was implying that they are going to continue to by Saturday morning blocks

Well, buying a second channel block isn't indicative of an attempt to start a monopoly; especially without any context to go on as to why they're doing it. In spite of that, the reasonable idea is that, regardless of intelligence of the act, it it may help to expose their products a little more at this point.

And unless I am mistaken, they could really use some more interest and a higher profit margin to grow on, especially after the loss of One Piece.

Problem is, 4kids' marketing strategy is shit to begin with.

Look at Chaotic for example. They have a damn good property right there, but they've been delaying the release of the TCG for about a year now. Rumor even has it that it might be a viral marketing ploy, which if it is, and it very well seems like it, then it's the shittest idea Al Khan has ever come up with, because drawing out a release for THAT long makes people begin to care less.

They tried to push the bejesus out of Viva Pinata as well, but that crap isn't working out for them either (Then again, MAYBE the DS release will save them. MAYBE).

A lot of their originial properties are failing, to put it bluntly, and I really can't understand what Al is thinking...

... oh wait, never mind. I forgot that Mr. "Books-are-stupid-and-kids-should-watch-more-TV" is a moron to begin with >>

Wait... you actually think he's down there in the mines collecting coal like the commoners?! Ha.

As far as I am aware, presidents of companies usually aren't directly involved in the marketing aspects of a product, and are more inclined to sit back in their comfy chair, make the 'big decisions' that only they can make, and shove all those little things like marketing campaigns off to specialists, like in this case an Ad Firm. This ad firm would mold a campaign around it, and present it to the company in short order for a decent compensation.

Khan, though, he's making them make or break decisions that'll effect the company and getting mad money while the company itself is hurting. I'd be surprised if he wasn't ousted soon, and replaced with someone more competent.

I suppose the upside to this is that it marks the end of that crap "The Batman" show.

I'd be surprised. If CN got re-branded, it might be pulled over and adjusted into the current CN line-up, assuming that isn't dropped altogether, if this happens.

4Kids has been losing it ever since they lost the rights to dub Pokemon after the end of season 8.

And after they finished dubbing the first season of Yu-Gi-Oh GX, they waited a few months before showing their dubbed version of the second season. And when that's finished, they didn't wait for a few months... more like wait a few WEEKS!

I can hardly think which shows they've got left to dub... One Piece, Pokemon, Sonic X, Yu-Gi-Oh... They only got GX, TMNT and Chaotic to keep them on air before they can finally find another anime show to dub...

Which reminds me, what are the card designs look like in Chaotic? Offical? If so, then why not the cards in Yu-Gi-Oh?! Lazy dubbers...

*Re-reads what he wrote* I'm trying to make a point here, but the problem is... I don't think I have one...

I think re branding CN as Kids WB would be a good thing, since they don't show just cartoons anymore.
And he maybe they can get rid of toonami while they're at it.
I think it's pretty much a zombie right now, trying to eat kids' brains.

Oh, COME ON! Don't those idiots have anything BETTER to do than make some good dubs (Pokémon, Kirby, and Ultimate MUSCLE), horrendous dubs, and bring crappy European shows to America? Next thing you know, there'll be more 4Krap stuff on Jetix than Chaotic, THAT'S for sure. WE'RE ALL GOING TO SIE!!!

I lol'ed.

I wonder what 4Kids is going to do now...are they seriously planning on having the same shows on two channeles? That seems pointless. I wonder if they will licence new stuff to fill up this new block...but what could they get?

...Anything but Onmyou Taisenki, please.
