Been a big week for home video news...

We have product layouts showing off the contents of each of the home video versions of Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna being released in Japan on September 2nd.

Before going onto the layouts, the actual on disc contents for those who aren't aware of them. These are the same for all 3 versions:
A cast and staff commentary for the film featuring Natsuki Hanae (Taichi), Chika Sakamoto (Agumon), director Tomohisa Taguchi, and Producer Yosuke Kinoshita.
A collection of PVs/trailers.
A clean version of the ED.

Onto the packaging previews themselves!

First up is the Deluxe Blu-ray version (image above.)

[Top left of image] The deluxe Blu-ray features a 'three sided box' (not including the top and bottom) with new artwork by Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru (character designer for the film and Digimon Adventure.) The spine features a vertical version of the movie logo, one side with Taichi, Agumon, and Agumon Bonds of Courage, while the other side features Yamato, Gabumon, and Gabumon Bonds of Friendship.

[Top middle of image] The digipak case for the discs features new artwork of all 12 kids and their Digimon by Seiji Tachikawa, the chief animation director of the film.

[Top disc on the top right of image] The Blu-ray of the film itself features the movie logo, a digital pattern square effect (used throughout the home video release), and the artwork of Taichi and Agumon from the digipak by Seiji Tachikawa, minus the sunset color filtering.

This release also includes...

[Bottom left of image] A 'special' booklet with unspecific contents. The preview shows what appears to be part of an interview.

[Bottom middle of image] A booklet featuring the storyboards for the opening scene of the film.

[Bottom right of image] A booklet of the staff saying thanks to fans with various illustrations.

The last item included is the new audio drama featuring the 02 kids "Where Should We Go?" It's written by Akatsuki Yamatoya, the writer of Kizuna. It takes place the day before the movie and is about their confusion over their summer vacation plans.

[Bottom disc on the top right of image] The CD the audio drama comes on features the same general look as the movie disc, but with the artwork using Yamato and Gabumon from the digipak instead of Taichi and Agumon.

That's it for the deluxe Blu-ray!

Onto the standard Blu-ray plus the DVD version!

[Top left of images] Both feature an outer sleeve/slipcase using the teaser artwork of Taichi and Agumon drawn by Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru.

[Top right of images] Each comes in a clear case in the standard size for the type of disc that is included. The case insert uses the final poster art of the film.

[Bottom left of images] Each includes a fold out leaflet featuring profiles of all 12 kids and their Digimon. No mention is made of what might be on the other side (likely artwork or just a generic pattern.)

[Bottom right of images] The discs use the digital square pattern and the movie logo.

The deluxe version looks really nice, especially with the audio drama, but the overall package for the standard versions isn't bad, especially since the actual content on the disc itself is the same (although missing out on the audio drama might be considered a big hit.)
