2023... I thought I'd post a new topic about those Bond forms in 2020 movie.

What's your current opinions on those Bond forms now compared to your first/last impressions upon them?
Confess up honestly! Honest confessions!!

Surprisingly my "disgusting" feelings towards "Humanized Agumon and Gabumon" forms are now all gone. Simply appreciated and accepted. Because, I was fearing their secret weapon, Omegamon got replaced for those new forms with even more higher powers also I disliked it for not just humanoid appearances but another new type "Burst Mode" levels on the Ultimate levels. I was thinking really heavy like "What will happen to Omegamon afterwards if the next movie will introduce other 6 Bond forms?" and "What's the point of giving Omegamon, a new mode "Omegamon Merciful Mode" then designed new two Bond forms to be powerful and had Omegamon suffered brutal defeat"?

I carried this disgusted feeling and found it very hard to get used to this all months. My mind just cannot react well to "Humanized" forms "ruined" the rules of Digimon's level. Then Digimon 2020 cards and their official profiles got me slowly starting to get used to it and somewhat ended up being cool with it. Not because of Gabumon Bond of Friendship's Motorcycle Mode. But the reason I ended up liking them is because I honestly want to see them again knowing it's painful to not to see them in next appearances probably? At first, I remember Omegamon first appeared and I used to think Omegamon's rare appearance will not show up another time again but well let's not speak about Omegamon clones.
Why do I want to see them again? Because I wanted to give another chance to witness their battle capacity for more. I just can't help but wonder if they are on Omegamon level or not. I think my disgusted feeling turned into a strong desire to see another 6 Bond forms to see their creativeness designs. I can confirm it's completely 100% positive to say without a doubt, it's "magic" of 2020 to 2023 released tons of new digimons with varied designs caused this disgusted impressions vanished off and turned into appreciation towards Bond forms. Gotta admit, digimon designs are pretty... How do I say that...? I don't know how to describe well but it's their hidden magic got me more interested and desiring more creativeness as they continued to release new digimons within years.

Today, I desire to see 6 Bond forms on Piyomon, Tentomon, Palmon, Gomamon, Patamon and Plotmon/Tailmon and that Motorcycle Mode! And another appearances with Bonds of Courage and Friendship for long battles if possible!

I honestly had that uncanny valley vibe the first time I saw them it's like they came out of SMT/Kyuubi chakra mode but for Gabumon and agumon.3 days later after watching the movie and the shorts I couldn't wait to see them fighting with those forms again and I keep imagining playing as Gabumon bond of friendship in a hypothetical battle evolution 3.so in other words I feel the exact same way.

I genuinely can't see the point of giving anyone a Bond form. Especially for Palmon, whose last evo is so humanoid that a Bond of Sincerity would probably look less human if she followed the same design template as Agumon and Gabumon.

Try to imagine Palmon Bond form as reverse Oleamon? If that helps to widen the imagination?

I'm sure Bond forms have to be "humanized" of those Child forms unless if some of them end up in.... Frontier evo style like... Daipenmon and RhinoKabuterimon.

Yeah I had a feeling those bonds will not happen for sure. Because we have Omegamon Merciful Mode and the next movie for Adventure 02.

Still ugly. And given their names I think it would have been more fitting for Lucemon-style Super Child appearances. Also still annoyed that there’s no Gabumon Motorcycle Mode.

I liked them then, and I like them now.
At this point I'd pretty used to new Digimon stretching the limits of what fits with the franchise aesthetic.

As for getting other Bond forms, I wouldn't be opposed to it, but at the same time, they were created for such a specific story purpose, that using the Bond honorific would feel unwarranted. May as well just be a new Digimon unrelated to Bond forms. Plus, Megas have already power creeped on Ultimates. Don't wanna do the same by adding too many Lvl.7s.
Especially for Palmon, whose last evo is so humanoid that a Bond of Sincerity would probably look less human if she followed the same design template as Agumon and Gabumon.
I'd really like something like this as her Bond form.
It's not just about making them humanoid, but also being a conglomeration of previous design elements.

Well having two Bond forms isn't enough to prove it to determine some certain unique traits of "Bond" forms required for their humanoid appearances.

Agumon Bond of Courage: Obviously this digimon is more 150% Greymon to WarGreymon. Not sure about MetalGreymon in there but I suppose the belt will do because it reminds me of MetalGreymon's metal arm with police's siren light bulb thingy on it. I'm sure glowing blue "Antibody X lines" is more of Greymon's blue stripes.

Gabumon Bond of Frienship: 150% Garurumon to MetalGarurumon. WereGarurumon mixed with Wolfmon to inspire this whole appearance with MetalGarurumon's metal parts. The glowing red/pink "Antibody X lines" is something all Garurumon forms have for the claws and Gabumon's symbol.

It's a bit easier to tell but just because their evo lines are all about Greymon / Garurumon forms. But try to imagine their Bond forms for Piyomon, and Palmon? I'm sure Gomamon and Tentomon Bond forms are somewhat easy to imagine because Gomamon's line may lack Greymon/Garurumon/Kabuterimon's pattern but it's walrus digimon still remained all the way without -name- family and Tentomon got Kabuterimon forms.

Which is why I wanted to look forward for the next future movie even if it takes... Too many years later to release.

Come to think of it, does the name of "Bond of--" bother you? Instead of going Greymon/Garurumon/Kabuterimon/other, but Child forms' name to put in it?

To me, I think the reason I liked the idea of the Bond forms is because (in Kizuna at least) they were meant to be the ultimate evolution between Taichi and his Agumon’s Bond and Yamato and his Gabumon’s.

The way I view them, sort of headcanon territory here, is that the Bond form would manifest differently depending on the chosen child and their Digimon partner. So, the Bond digivolution for a different child partnered to Agumon would manifest differently because of the different experiences they’ve lived through.

I really like them, but feels it kind of cheapens their uniqueness by being the “Ultra” forms of all Agumon/Gabumon instead of specifically Adventure Taichi and Adventure Yamato’s. But then it gives me the idea of imagining “How cool would it be to see an Agumon Bond of Friendship”—or any of the other Crest/armors manifested.

And after a taste of them, I’d of course would love to see Bond forms of the original Adventure Partners (at least, if not 02 as well). There’s just a special nostalgia of seeing your childhood companions still growing and evolving (literally and figuratively) just as we all continue to age and evolve in our own lives.

I like the designs, I like the concepts. But I care not to see more of it.

I just don't like the names. I prefer prefix names rather than suffix'd names.
I'd prefer Agu-Greymon and Gabu-Garurumon. Or BraveAgumon,

While the names are a bit weird, mostly because they have a long suffix, I like they being based on the Child forms, as when we list the children partners, we default to those and not the evolutions. So having the form that's the ultimate expression of the partnership named after the base state of it is very nice.

I think it's somewhat better than giving names to the name of certain species family and it made me remember their bonds grew stronger and tighter compared to the first episode of Digimon Adventure 01 when evolved to Child forms to fight off Kuwagamon which they witnessed their evolution to Child forms and confused also they weren't bonding to each others when being threw off to the unknown world.
