Gurimon and Hawkmon Previews for Booster Set 8

It looks like it's time for the ongoing card previews for Booster Set 8 to start! And once again we start with some anime Digimon...

The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated with card previews from Booster Set 8 New Hero. This time it's Gurimon and Hawkmon.

Gurimon features him looking a bit tired. It looks like he might have charged and crashed into the ground, while Curimon looks on. (We saw this card in V-Jump earlier.)
Hawkmon features him doing some midair acrobatics while doing his special move, Feather Slash.



Both previews feature new art by Kenji Watanabe, and starting off with a Ghost Game & Zero-Two Digimon for the formal previews makes sense for this set.

Booster Set 8 New Hero will be out on November 26th in Japan.

Hawkmon is the more interesting of the two for me as it seems to want you to play a deck consisting of mostly dual colored cards

Hawkmon
[When Played] Reveal the top 4 cards of your deck. Add 1 red card with 2 or more colors revealed by this effect to your hand. Return the remaining cards to the bottom of your deck.

I'm remembering that silly rainbow background for Susanoomon's digivolution cost and imagining that but on the text box

Or they're hedging their bets in case that happens, so that they already have support ready for it. Wouldn't be shocked if they already have something in mind to be 3 colors though, maybe the Transcendants or something.

Huh even to Child level, too. Or maybe it's only for all Adventure 02 partners.

Did Gurimon let rip a giant fart or something? What's with the crater lol? He's a beast with a Draw Engine though and that's a game changer since the TCG hasn't had much serious Draw power until now.

Hawkmon is fine, though that specific wording in the text definitely sounds like future-proofing to cover their butts in case they bring out Tri-Colours or more.
