Groundramon Preview for Booster Set EX-03

The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated with a card preview from Booster Set EX-03 Dragon's Roar. This time it's Groundramon.

Groundramon isn't a shock after the last update, one of the big focuses here is the massive size change.

Examon being able to pretend Groundramon is Mega for DNA digivolution is a bit weird. Unless Breakdramon has no inherited I feel like you'd be better off evolving to Breakdramon anyway

Examon being able to pretend Groundramon is Mega for DNA digivolution is a bit weird. Unless Breakdramon has no inherited I feel like you'd be better off evolving to Breakdramon anyway

Yeah, the idea behind Examon's jogress materials was always a bit inconsistent on whether it evolves from the ultimates or from the megas (more commonly) and design-wise I always felt Wingdramon & Groundramon made more sense with Slayerdramon & Breakdramon just doing their own thing thematically as opposed to staying pure dragons. Appearently originally Examon was designed as a direct evolution from Wingdramon or a mega of a third yellow Dracomon line, but they canned it in favor of Slayerdramon and re-used it as a jogress, cause they decided against a third line.

Anyway, green is just about fully revealed by now. We only lack a Lv. 6. Could very well be a new Breakdramon, unless they omit the Lv. 6 dragons for the Examon strategy being implied here. I fail to see an alternative though, unless they re-do BloomLordmon, but that one just came out in the previous set.

The middle one as in one between heaven and earth? Yes.

It was supposed to be:
Coredramon (Blue) -> Wingdramon -> Examon
Coredramon (Yellow) -> Yellow ultimate -> Slayerdramon
Coredramon (Green) -> Groundramon -> Breakdramon
