GrandDracumon & Option Card Eye of the Gorgon Preview for Booster Set 9

The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated with card previews from Booster Set 9 X Record. This time it's GrandDracumon & option card Eye of the Gorgon!

GrandDracumon gets some really fancy art, that feels like it's taking more than an inspiration from stuff like Castlevania and Darkstalkers. Hisashi Fujiwara has done Darkstalkers art for magazines and elsewhere, so it fits well. Eye of the Gorgon features the evil eye that GrandDracumon can summon to swallow up the hearts of those that stare into it.

Loving the art a bit disappointed he’s only a rare. Hopefully we’ll get a stronger one in the future.

I think so too. I’m personally hoping Death-X-mon will be the second Secret Rare.

according to Wikimon, GranDracmon in Digimon Chronicle X "defeats Digimon, forces them to go under Death-X-Evolution and then sends them to the Dark Area."? I find that really interesting and I want to see more of his Death-X creations, or maybe even a story where he undergoes Death-X himself as a last resort.
This card art for him is also really beautiful. The details on his hair and fur and the entire setting he's in are very well done
