New guide listings for Digimon Ghost Game!

These have episode titles and plot synopsis' for episodes 33 thru 37 (the official episode title translations in the end may very well be different than these). We have the today for the episode from today, so we're using that.

A few of the episodes have slightly different synopsis' from different guides. The alternates are in quote boxes right after the initial one for some separation.




Plot synopsis/descriptions by their nature will have minor spoilers, so consider this fair warning.




Episode 33- Whispers of the Dead (July 10) [Today]
After a near-death experience, Kiyoshiro Higashimitarai wanders into the world between life and death. He manages to return to the world of the living, but ever since that day, only he begins to hear an eerie voice. The voice is accompanied by a series of dangerous incidents that seem to trying to lead him to his death. Kiyoshiro inevitably gets into an accident that brings him back to the world between life and death. There he meets Sepikmon, a Digimon that can only make friends with the dead. Sepikmon had been the one calling for Kiyoshiro all along, trying to drag him back into the netherworld in order to become friends with him.

Episode 34- Wall-crawler (July 17)
Hiro and Gammamon return home after their long absence to clean house. That night, a creepy gecko-like human invades Hiro's home. The gecko-human immediately escapes, but its face was the exact same face of a neighborhood friend that Hiro knew in elementary school. Hiro goes to visit his friend's house the next morning in search of clues, only to learn a startling revelation...

Hiro Amanokawa and Gammamon return home after their long absence to clean house. That night, a creepy gecko-like human invades Hiro's home. The gecko-human immediately escapes, but Hiro recognizes its face. From memory, the face resembled that of a neighborhood friend from elementary school. Hiro goes to visit his friend's house the next morning. But what awaited him there was a startling revelation.

Episode 35- Werewolf (July 24)
A werewolf appears in Hitoyo-machi (One-Night/Overnight Town)-- Hiro and co., intrigued by this internet rumor, go to visit Ruli's relatives who live in Hitoyo-machi. However, it wasn't a mere rumor. People in the town were being attacked by monsters night after night. Hitoyo-machi has an old legend where a werewolf's curse befalls the town, attacking the people once every 100 years, and that Ruli's family, the Tsukiyonos, are involved in this legend.

A werewolf appears in Hitoyo-machi... Intrigued by this rumor on the internet, Hiro and co. go to visit Ruli Tsukiyono's relatives who live in Hitoyo-machi. The werewolf appearance ends up being more than just a rumor, and people in the town were being attacked by monsters night after night. Hitoyo-machi has an old legend where a werewolf's curse befalls the town, attacking the people once every 100 years. What's more, Ruli is surprised to learn that the legend involves the Tsukiyono family. The townspeople grow tense, wondering who will be attacked next. An old woman in the town says that someone from the Tsukiyono family must be sacrificed in order to stop the curse. Upon hearing this, Ruli decides...?

Episode 36- Labyrinth of Sorrow (July 31)
In order to confirm the truth of "disappearing buildings" that has been the talk of the town lately, Hiro and co. go to investigate a cave that is suspected to be related to it. They enter the cave with Kazu, Piyochin, Iizuka, and Niko, online friends that they met through an urban legend forum. However, a short time upon entering the cave, they hear a strange sobbing voice and the cave suddenly falls in. The group is stuck inside the cave. They start to walk further into the cave in search of a way out, but its members disappear one by one. Even Kiyoshiro, Ruli, and Angoramon vanish, being snatched up by someone. While chasing after them in an attempt to rescue everyone, Hiro and the others come upon a huge underground graveyard and Gigasmon making many haniwa figures.

Episode 37- Flocking Dead (August 7)
To refresh Kiyoshiro, who is engaged in programming work for a data center of a global corporation, Hiro and co. visit a small lakeside town. Meanwhile, in the mountains near the town, creepy skeleton zombies have been zombifying wild animals and feeding them to someone hiding in an illegal industrial waste dump. That night, the skeleton zombies appear in town, attacking and zombifying the humans one after the other. Hiro and co. fight to protect the townspeople, and chase the skeleton zombies into the mountains. There, they encounter RareRaremon, who emerges from the grounds of the illegal dumping site. RareRaremon has been eating the zombified wildlife and humans to form its own body...




The show continues on, with one episode in particular likely being of interest for people waiting for evolutions...

Alright, time for initial thoughts!

Episode 33: This sounds like a pretty cool Kiyo-focused episode (and I always appreciate best boy getting some focus), though I do wish they didn't reveal the Digimon that was going to be featured; I like going into an episode not knowing what the Digimon of the Week is going to be. Ah well, this still sounds like a cool episode idea, so we'll see how it plays out tonight.

Episode 34: I like that we're going to get a brief snippet of Hiro's past, and I'm curious about what the context is gonna be: when I read about a "gecko-face human", I immediately went to Geckomon, and I'm wondering if it's a case where it was always a Geckomon, or if Hiro's friend was recently replaced. I feel like it's gonna be the latter, but the former would be interesting to think about.

Episode 35: Well, considering we've had episodes centered on a mummy (Mummymon), a pumpkin ghost (Pumpkinmon), demons (Phelesmon), and vampires (Myotismon), it's about time we got an episode centered around werewolves. Now all we need is an episode featuring Boltmon as a stand-in for Frankenstein's Monster and we'll have all our bases covered regarding classic monsters! Also, it's neat we'll be getting to meet relatives of Ruli, and I'm guessing this is the episode you were talking about regarding a potential evolution. Personally, I'm not holding my breath, but you never know. Finally, I wonder what the Digimon of the Week is gonna be this time. WereGarurumon? BlackWereGarurumon? Maybe even Ceberumon Werewolf Mode!

Episode 36: This is probably the least-interesting one to me, but it's still neat to see a Digimon from Frontier in this. Also, apparently Haniwa figures are for the tombs of Japanese elite, so that makes me wondering why Gigasmon is carving them.

Episode 37: This one sounds metal as hell! We have zombie-skeletons that turn other humans into zombie-skeletons themselves, which then proceed to offer themselves up to a monster for the purpose of them forming a body. Speaking of which, I decided to look up what RareRaremon looks like and...YIKES, that thing looks nasty! This is gonna be a fun one, I can tell!

So yeah, overall these sound like some pretty cool ideas! Hopefully they can be executed well!

Oh, so we're branching out of the city for a bit? It'd be nice to see how Digimon operate in other places.

Well, after we got vampires it makes sense we'd get werewolves, you can't have one classic horror monster without the other. It also looks like Lamortmon's debut episode due to the focus on Ruri, which makes it even more fitting of a choice.

I look forward to seeing what they do with either/both of the WereGarurumons to make them fit into the horror theme. Vamdemon was pretty easy as he still had his blood sucking even in Adventure, but WereGarurumon has always been more defined by his hand-to-hand combat then his origins so I wonder how they'll play the latter up.

Gekomon is actually a frog (“geko” being the Japanese equivalent of “ribbit”). I’m going to guess Chamelemon for this one, but it’s a weird synopsis regardless.

Well, with the synopses here's what I think:

- EP33: I was expecting Mephismon but no, we're back on a Champion level with Sepikmon... So no return from Thetismon planned, there's no need since the threat isn't a Perfect -_-...

- EP34: A Digimon Gecko with Human face... Yeah, it's vague, there's a Dinohumon that could correspond or Ranamon (since Gecko is also Frog...)

- EP35: Well I think we're there, the episode of Lamortmon, I mean a legend about werewolves where a member of Ruli's family must be sacrificed to appease the beast... Knowing that Lamortmon is a Garou creature in appearance, that we will not hide it that Ruli is going to be the designated sacrifice (I wonder if there is a ceremonial dress that goes with it... Damn I'm starting to fantasize about Ruli in uniform of sacrifice...) it will probably end in a Werewolf match

- EP36: A labyrinth and Gigasmon... what do you want me to say...

- EP37: Rareraremon the return and if he speaks this time, he will be scary to death...

Wow, these episodes seem action packed- and they're not shying away from horrifying stuff too, especially EP 37!!
I love the premise of each episode, and I really hope they match it in execution!

Skeleton Zombies made me think of Skullsatamon for a moment there.

The Labyrinth one is the only stand out synopsis to me as it sounds a lot like that occult club side mission in Hackers Memory, so it could be entertaining.

Also, since the labyrinth is underground, I am already headcannoning Gigasmon saying to Hiro, "if you want to step into our chamber, you must be prepared to face the danger..."

The V3 Dim card set comes out the day before ep 37. I'd say it'd debuted there like how the V2 set came out when Jellymon evolved, but we're a month behind because of the hack.

Definitely. If it's true that dragon ball super comes back in 2023, then it definitely will take at least 70 episodes

What does DB Super have to do with that. Will it be replacing it in the time slot. Considering the poditive reception of this current series, wouldn't there naturally be a new digimon seres
