Digimon Ghost Game episode 64, The Call, is a bit over half a day from starting in Japan, and elsewhere a few hours after that, so we get a small stack of preview screenshots from the Digimon_TV Twitter.


A tweet from Digimon Web also teases various Digimon appearing in the episode, on top of the one causing the 'strange phenomena' itself:

On the Run: Great Mission Takes Over Ghost Game Timeslot on April 2nd- Series Likely Ending

Well, minus a potential time slot change, which nothing has been mentioned, it appears we know when Ghost Game ends. On the Run: Great Mission, announced a few months ago from Toei, has now been announced to take over the 9am Sunday slot on Fuji TV. This likely spells the end of Ghost Game...

Could it be... Leviamon? His official art suggests that he can make the fog from his nose, and he has the fin thing on his ankle.
It's kinda his first appearance, Xros Wars was more like a cameo - some could argue.

A nostalgic Digimon that never appeared in the anime? My first thought would be something from the games, but considering Izawa and Yabuno were involved with Ghost Game's development, I guess maybe it's V-dramon? I don't see what a music note emoji could have to do with V-dramon, but I also can't think of any music-themed Digimon from an old game. The closest I can think is one of the manga-only Shoutmon forms, since XW is already old enough to be nostalgic.

At any rate, this is a weird choice for the episode that most likely is supposed to kick start the plot. I was actually expecting a new Digimon, despite the Dagomon theories, because we need to introduce a final boss.

I hope we see Espimon actually do something more this time, because it's pretty weird he is supposed to be a part of the team and yet the writers refuse to make him have a big part in the battles.

Going by previous episodes, the writers don't want the three Ultimates at the same time yet, which means one is probably going to be missing again. Either we'll have Siriusmon and Diarbbitmon in battle because we had Siriusmon and Amphimon twice in a row, or we'll have Diarbbitmon and Amphimon, and this is the episode where GulusGammamon evolves.

Unless I'm misunderstanding, they seem to be saying these two Digimon are separate from the one that's responsible for the episode's problem, so it could still be Dagomon and then these two Digimon are something else.

Seeing as Tenya Yabuno has been involved with this series, I'm thinking Bun or V-dramon might be the nostalgic Digimon.

I’m wondering whether Dagomon might have an evolution or a more powerful boss. Wishful thinking brings Devitamamon, Parallelmon, Metamormon, and Arkadimon Ultumate to mind.
