Ganimon & Zamielmon Preview for Booster Set 9

The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated with card previews from Booster Set 9 X Record. This time it's Ganimon & Zamielmon.

Ganimon continues the theme of there being some nice underwater card images for the set, and also feels like a flashback to a background element in one of the cards from set 8. Zamielmon continues the nice painted style artwork with a nice level of detail.

Yesterday I was thinking about the missing cards in the set and I actually guessed vanilla Ganimon right. But I couldn't figure out what would have been the missing green level 5. I did even consider some possible evolutions for Igamon, but I definitively couldn't think about Zamielmon. It's a good surprise, but it's sad to see a death general as a vanilla

this would be really cool. A little unrelated but I hope this tcg starts theming entire sets around stories rather than random digimon medias thrown together, as in all the cards arts, Option cards, and Digimon included coming together to paint a whole narrative for the set. I mostly say this because having a set where we see the Death Generals coming together to be up to something and seeing this reflected in the cards would be really cool

More like a year and quarter ago since that happened late 2020, like during the middle month of Autumn, making last year the first full year since then.

It'll be interesting to see what these cards do to the meta, though I don't see them outclassing Uno builds.

They're joking. Bancho parodied Yu-Gi-Oh! and Magic: The Gathering, so they followed up with UNO (a classic American card game where you stack cards of the same color or number).

Right. The Death Generals are exclusive to Xros Wars. They aren't a thing in the card game.
