Gabumon X Preview for Booster Set 9

The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated with a card preview from Booster Set 9 X Record. This time it's Gabumon X.

Gabumon X gets some fun art of him leaping, and you can see another familiar face. This one is a bit weird, as there isn't that much art of Gabumon X, and most of it has him attacking or looking angry, so seeing him emoting in this way is quit ea bit different. Fun card.

the best Gabumon X has ever looked imo. This one art makes me like its design. I know DP amount is mostly determined by card balancing and usually not because of lore but it's weird to see Gabumon X with only 2000 DP

[On Play] [When Digivolving] Reveal 3 cards from the top of your deck. Add 1 [X-Antibody] and 1 card with [Garurumon] or [Omnimon] in its name from among them to your hand. Place the remaining cards at the bottom of your deck in any order.

I agree this is the best Gabumon X I've ever seen. I didn't like it at all in its official profile artwork and now it's fine.

Agreement with everyone here! The reference book art for Gabumon X has always been horrible. THIS Gabumon X though looks wonderful! Makes me really like Gabumon X as a mon.

I was hoping that art should make Gabumon X look very savage "Caveman"-ish but I didn't expect almost everybody likes this cute version. He is surely more fluffier than normal one. Hardly Lizard. Fluffy dog lizard?

The X-Antibody version’s type is Beast, not Reptile.

The X-Antibodies for Agumon and Gabumon have this gimmick where their bodies have become more similar to their respective Adult-levels. The original Agumon and Gabumon are both Reptile-types. However, Agumon X-Antibody became a Dinosaur-type (like Greymon), and Gabumon X-Antibody became a Beast-type (like Garurumon).

I was under impression of Gabumon X's tail is just lizardy with fur completely covered it up. All previous artworks of Gabumon in cards didn't help to give it full view.

I guess Gabumon X's profile really confirmed it's totally Beast type. Now I can see this fur tail in the full view and the top head of the Garurumon pelt really have "spiky" hair on back of him. It seems Bandai gave full details to those artists who drew which fans overlooked or tiniest details didn't get mentioned until. It's really cool! But... I wonder if Gabumon X still have that lizard's fat throat? You know some lizards have fat throats?

Yeah obviously X Antibody granted the lower forms to reach their higher forms to borrow. Still it didn't explain some certain ones who didn't get some parts of their higher forms. Still mysterious to me.

I hope we get a Shakomon X card that actually shows what it looks like under its shell.
