I prefer Xros Wars, I don't like the music that they use in the Fusion dub at all. It's boring and generic, and most of the time it ends up ruining a lot of the scenes for me. I also tend to like the characters in Xros Wars, more than in Fusion. Yes the dub tried to give them more personality, by making them more humorous, but them attempting to make me laugh with corny jokes and puns, doesn't make them more likable to me. So for me it is Xros Wars.

Xros Wars, Fusion is pretty much the embodiment of everything that "Sub only" anime fans hate about dubs

Lets see we got a 10 year old girl, Mervamon and what ever that weird thing was on lilithmon.

If you want to make an actual complaint about one version of the show or another, feel free, otherwise, move along to a different topic.

Do you really want me to make a 2 hour video about the fanservice alone?

I am honestly worried that you are being bothered by fictional characters.

Xros Wars is the best one easily. I really, really liked the original soundtrack, the voices felt more natural and there wasn't any pointless censoring

The original Xros Wars is better. I am one of these people that have a natural dislike for dumbing down the content of an anime in a dub. And honestly, this result is hardly a surprise considering the dubs of previous seasons of Digimon.
In my case it is even more jarring considering in my country our Digimon dubs used to be more accurate to the original material, but in this last season they were leaning more towards the stuff from Fusion for some reason. One year ago I asked myself if your dub was actually that bad, but now I feel your pain. I may have watched 2 or 3 episodes and then dropped because I couldn't stand it.

I do like Xros Wars more but at least I can wait to see how they dub stuff. Like the fanservice. I think a large number of people were waiting for that.

A lot of the lines in Fusion are really cringey like all the other dubs.
I prefer Xros Wars by a long shot but Fusion isn't bad because I'm sure if I was a kid I would love it like how I loved the dub of Adventure when I was young.

I don't like hentai so I'm going with neither.
Xros wars is my favorite hentai : ^)

Anyway I kinda of have a mixture of both since they're both pretty good in their own ways,Though the dub does have some in unnecessary censorship which I don't understand And I hate how they down played certain emotional moment which really bothered me

I would say Xros Wars. I saw the finale of Fusion a week ago. Was hoping they would have AT LEAST used an instrumental version of We Are Xros Heart! when Shoutmon X7 Superior Mode appeared. But nope, they stuck with that shitty rock music or whatever. Totally ruined the entire moment. For me that is.

Not to mention that Fusion did something weird with Shoutmon X7 Superior Mode's name by verbally renaming it "Shoutmon X7 And Superior Mode".

So, they think Superior Mode is all Digimon orbiting X7?

Usually I'm not this closed-minded about these kinds of things, but I really didn't even give Fusion a chance. I started out watching the dubs on TV when they were airing so dubs usually have a soft spot for me. Fusion, however, is not among them.

A typo like SlashAngemon --> SlushAngemon is, you know what, that's okay. Slip ups happen. But, imo, you can't misspell Agumon's name. I just couldn't take it seriously after that so I stopped watching. Again, not usually this closed-minded. I just was so floored when I saw so many of these DigiMemory (/DigiCard?) typos.

From what I heard Fusion is a little better. I watched all of Xros Wars thinking that it might not be localized but decided to watch Fusion anyway. I remember thinking Xros Wars was unbearable due to a story that was almost non-existant and a hero who was too perfect. Suprisingly the dub made it better through humor. When something is bad it becomes worse knowing it's taking itself seriously. I also enjoyed the voice acting more.

Some are claiming they're hentai. Some are complaining about pointless censorship. Wow! I also don't all the cleavage and bouncing boobs in Xros Wars. The dub made edits in the right direction in this case.

But the music in Xros Wars is sooo much better!

I would rather not be missing a part of my product, so Xros Wars.

I will admit I haven't watched much of Fusion, though that's partly down to Xros Wars still being fresh in my mind even four years later, and I'm not yet wanting to essentially rewatch the whole series. From what little I've seen, I thought Fusion was OK. The music wasn't exactly groundbreaking but it wasn't awful either. The voice acting was more or less spot-on. Some changes from Xros Wars were maybe necessary for the target audience (i.e. Lilithmon and Mervamon) but everything else really wasn't. I'm not particularly upset about the dub changes, though the misspelling of "Augumon" was embarrassing.

Ultimately, if I'm going to pick a version to watch it's probably going to be Xros Wars. As with other entries in the franchise, everything about it is basically better. Plus it has 26 more episodes than Fusion, for better or worse.

outside of more egregious examples of censorship like the yellow spot lights in the HoneyBeemon episode, none of the changes were really bothersome to me.

The voice acting was actually spot on and everyone did the characters justice, some even having me come to prefer them over the original like Ballistamon.
I also feel the dub made Taiki (or rather, Mikey) feel more down to earth and less mary-sue-ish. I can't explain it but he feels more relatable in Fusion than in Xros Wars.

Some of the name changes like Zenjirou to Jeremy and Akari > Angie were perfectly fine. The ones that bothered me actually were the ones related to Digimon, such as Bastemon > Beastmon, most because Persiamon has a name already. Fusion was pretty bad about that consistency as a whole, tho that isn't new to the brand either really. Still annoying tho.

Seriously, I can't understand that anyone likes that sh** called Fusion. Stupid censorship, absurd jokes, characters completely different from the original, tedious music... Xros Wars is a brilliant series, a great shonen with an amazing story and round characters with which we can identify at some point of our lifes. It's probably the best Digimon series after Tamers and Adventure (I'm trying to speak in objective terms, since Tamers is not part of my favourites, but I have to admit that it's the best written and developed series). It saddens me that certain people don't even give Xros Wars a try before talking rubbish about it, and in essence it's just because it's a groundbreaking concept, very different from the original one of the V-Pets and Adventure, but it doesn't mean that it's bad at all, it's just different and Digimon is meant for open minded people who really care about enjoying a good anime, instead of watching the same again and again. It's just my opinion.

As much as I love Derek Stephen Prince's voice, I don't like Fusion all that much, partly because it is too cheeky a dub and suffers from censorship, and partly because of the stupid name changes. If you want to watch the dub so bad, go and buy a DVD of the William Winckler dub. They even did Xros Hunters, unlike Saban.

The last two posts are generic ranting about the dub rather than anything approaching something to have a discussion about.

That needs to stop.

To be honest I don't like the anime at all any more now that I seen the manga and how they did the characters better.
