Fun Digica Episode 4- Heaven's Yellow Starter Deck Details

Episode 4 of Fun Digica is up!

This time the show goes over the Heaven's Yellow Starter Deck.

Heaven's Yellow is a deck based on weakening your opponent.

Of the three decks on the teaching app, this one was most challenging for me to get used to. Probably because Angemon & Angewomon are not in on the app yet and they might be integral.

I still don't get Holy Flame, what does Security Check -3 entail? Sorrow blue is so much better!

Seraphimon can take out any Digimon one on one while attacking due to his -4000 DP effect (-5000 if you evolved from MagnaAngemon). This effect can also be use on the side while breaking a shield, how ever it can't be used defensively or on shield Digimon. So it can break a shield and destroy a rookie or champion level when ever it attacks. This is useful in clearing out the battle area.

Heaven's Charm can also -2000 DP, so it can knockout an Agumon/Gabumon/Gomamon or level the playing field while attacking her DP Digimon.

Takeru's effect when stacked can make sure your opponent pays heavily for breaking a shield (+2000 DP per Takeru) and again helps clearing out the battle area.

Side note: Interesting that they used Seraphimon's newer tri design on his card and his older design in the 7 Heavens card. I personally prefer the newer helmet and wings.

I knew there was Unimon but I didn't know about Bokumon! This might be my favorite of the three decks, the Digimon selection is nice and the art is all stunning

Weird, Bakumon usually have dark element despite having a Holy ring. I guess they actually gave him light element for first time unless if I overlooked as usual?

Bakumon eats bad dreams and is stated to be proficient in purging viruses in its profile so it's associated with darkness but in the way that it feeds on them and removes them. It's cool having a holy vaccine Digimon who attacks with darkness

I love the digimon they have in the yellow deck but I do wish they didn't use the colour yellow. I'm not a fan so I probably won't be getting the yellow deck because of that.

Bakumon has always been a "holy" Digimon; he's just a holy Nightmare Soldier. He was the Vaccine-attribute Rookie for the Pendulum ver.Nightmare Soldier.

with (so far) the division being bird and dragon field digimon on red, aquatic and beast on blue, insect and plant on green and holy on yellow, should we expect a black/purple for dark and machine ones? (or do the fields not matter and im just being a nerd?)

Black/Purple for Dark and Machine Digimon is almost a certainty at this point.

They probably are holding back the "villains" until we after a few episodes of Adventure:, to prevent spoilers / use the anime hype to promote the 1st expansion. Of course, if the cards are a success, which I pray they will be.

hes a holy species digimon in the DS games.

Look like the blue one revealed more cards than Red and Yellow.

Yeah. And yellow is the only suitable option.

Although pink is associated with Hikari, it doesn't really fit the concept of Holy Digimon. And white doesn't fit with the other Starter Deck.

When you have red and blue, you will use yellow or green as third colour. Although green is associated with Takeru too, it doesn't fit the concept of Holy Digimon.

What about gold color? It fits Holy Digimon (especially since Holy Rings are a thing) and isn't a mustard color.
