Fun Digica 110- Booster Set EX-02 Card Previews- Leomon, Fist of the Beast King, Juri, & Mother D-Reaper

Episode 110 recently Fun Digica went up.

The new episode of Fun Digica has Cody and Miyano introduce cards from Booster Set EX-02 Digital Hazard! This time we get a small stack of cards with a heavy focus on Juri & Leomon.



Jump into the cards. These are ones we haven't seen before.

We start off with Leomon, who gets some really nice detailed artwork.
Fist of the Beast King goes with a nice painted anime style art, with a big focus on the energy from the fist.
Juri gets nice, brand new, anime style artwork, like the other Tamers.
And Mother D-Reaper also has anime style artwork, with a bit of an interesting take having it be a digitama card.



And after Fun Digica went up, they put up larger previews which have the sample text.

A decent variety of art styles this time.

Was not expecting Juri to be a Blue Tamer, had her pegged as Green alongside Leomon but whatever. Her being able to give you an extra draw each time your opponent attacks is nuts though. EX-02 is throwing out some serious draw power of late.

I really had to laugh at Leomon having an On Deletion Skill. They knew...they knew...

Maybe I'm missing something but what's up with Mother D-Reaper? It's listed as a DigiTama but that's got to be a mistake surely since DigiTama can't exist on the Field from what I remember so how are you meant to attack with it?

The reason DigiTama can’t exist on the field is because they have 0 DP anyways. Mother Reaper has 15000 so it’s gonna be just fine lol.

Also, it can’t attack. It’s one of the effects of the card, but I’ll wait for our usual poster to post the card effects.

Allowing Beelzemon to also use the FOTBK is an interesting Tamers reference, didn't expect that.

The "including Loader Liomon" part is really interesting. Why not Liamon and Liollmon at this point?

Mother D-Reaper is the weirdest card they have revealed until now, and probably I'm not the only one who thinnks so.
So basically it's there and cannot leave the field unless the player itself removes it. And its sources are needed just to trigger other effects/gimmicks mentioned in this and other D-Reaper cards, because there's no point in boosting its power with searchers.

The "including LoaderLiomon" is not a part of the original card text. They took the liberty of adding that addendum to the English translation because "Liomon" is spelled exactly the same as "Leomon" in Japanese katakana.

The Japanese card doesn't have that addendum because it already inherently includes Loader"Leomon", but it's necessary for the English translation because the dubbed name has a distinctly-different spelling for whatever reason.

Not really a "dub" thing, they just did what the Refernce book did. The official Bandai Japan spelling is loaderliomon. The data squad guy was originally bantyoliomon to match but that got swapped to Bancho Leomon shortly after

Bandai must've done it for a reason cuz otherwise they'd be leollmon and loaderleomon but they're not for some reason in both the DRB and English media

The first Leomon card in this game also did, this one is essentially an upgraded version of that one even. One of the other Leomons also had a Security effect, thus an effect that can only go off as it goes to the graveyard.

Juri isn't Green?! I always assumed green color suits her really good...

and I didn't expect Leomon's Attack option card requiring... Beelzebumon. At least it got good effect for ignoring color requirement for extra effect.

It's based on how Tamers Beelzebumon was able to use Fist of the Beast King.

I know. That is why I mentioned it's for extra effect on Leomon's Beast King Fist.

I wonder if this Leomon's Beast King Fist option card will be the only unique one card or it will have Leomon using Poison of LadyDevimon will have the future card of LadyDevimon's option card? Guilmon with wings? Terriermon with Zudomon's hammer? etc...
