The Digimon Card Game Twitter has updated with card previews from Booster Set 9 X Record. This time it's Fujinmon & Raijinmon.

Fujinmon shows him zooming off in the sky, mid battle against a familiar opponent. Raijinmon shows him charging up an attack.

Feels like these two telegraph two more Digimon in the set...

Not sure I've seen anyone mention it before, but seeing these cards I finally realize that the Japanese god trio are meant to be counterparts to the Ultimates for the partners that debuted in Digimon World 3.

SlashAngemon & Fujinmon - Slim, bladed arms
Marsmon & Raijinmon - bulky, fist-fighters
Cannondramon & Suijinmon - quadrupedal, two cannons

This has really blown my mind. Did anyone point that out before?

Fujinmon looks so much like Rapidmon I kind of assumed they were based on the Tamers trio and one was just more blatant than the other two.

World 3 reference with them fighting the Megas of the World 3 partners. Based on that, I figure the red one will have a card fighting Cannondramon.

I wonder if Raidenmon gets to be lv7.

I realized recently only because I think somebody said this in one of the news threads Marc made that featured the parallel version of BT1 SlashAngemon that had him alongside Fujinmon and that this card is referencing.
I definitely now think as well that the deity trio and final forms of the DW3 starters intentionally parallel eachother.

Fujinmon
(When in Your Hand) [Main] If you have a Digimon with [Justimon] or [Raidenmon] in its name, put this card at the bottom of 1 of those Digimon's Digivolution Sources by paying 1 memory.
[When Digivolving] By trashing 1 card with [Machine] or [Cyborg] in its traits from you hand, suspend 1 of your opponent's Digimon.
[When Attacking] Suspend 1 of your opponent's Digimon with a DP of 5000 or less. That Digimon cannot be unsuspended during your opponent's next Unsuspend Phase.

Raijinmon
(When in Your Hand) [Main] If you have a Digimon with [Justimon] or [Raidenmon] in its name, put this card at the bottom of 1 of those Digimon's Digivolution Sources by paying 1 memory.
[When Digivolving] By trashing 1 card with [Machine] or [Cyborg] in its traits from you hand, 1 of your opponent's Digimon gets -4000 DP for this turn.
[When Attacking] 1 of your opponent's Digimon gets -4000 DP for this turn.

IIRC Raijin Fist, Fuujin Blade, and Suijin Cannon are all weapons usable by Bearmon, Kotemon, and Koemon respectively in World 3.

It seems that they do have skills that allow them to place themselves underneath digimon, which I assume works with the previously revealed option card.

Yeah same here. Never realized that. Although Cannondramon have triple cannons and Sujinmon have dual Mugendramon cannons and other dual MetalMamemon cannons. It seemed Sujinmon card showing it can shoot all 4x cannons on its shoulders.

Surprised trio god cards have dual colors. I find it really awesome.

You now what always gets me about these four?

They can never decide in Artwork if they have a Mono Eye or Two Eyes, which is weird as it is implied they come from the Bemmon in World 3 who have a Mono Eye in all their forms.

It honestly seems every piece of Art featuring them alternates the number of Eyes.

Edit: I also love their titles from the OG Card Game Blurbs.

"Ultimate Commander of" Thunderclaps for Raijinmon, Waterfalls for Suijinmon, and Gales for Fujinmon.

Waterfall Commander, Thunderclap Commander, and Gale Commander just seem like pretty cool titles for them while Raidenmon is called "The Ultimate Battle Fortress".

This has been my theory since the game was released. The final boss created them from Tamers trio

Raijimon has similar taomon symbols, colors (yellow)
Fujimon very similar to Rapidmon and color green
Suijimon The 3 circles symbol is replace the 3 triangle symbol, the tail is similar to guilmon line and it's red

It's honestly a pity World 2 and 3 are so overlooked in favor of World 1, which even got not one but two Sequels in Re Digitize and Next Order.

I am glad the new Card Game is including Homages to those 2 overlooked Digimon Games.

This cards are really nice.

Too bad as things stand right now you can only pull off the Kotemon main line from Digimon World 3, as all cards are atleast in part yellow. Both Bearmon and Monmon work till champion, but in Bearmon's case his ultimate and mega swap colours and Monmon still lacks both those levels right now.

I really want a “Digimon Story/World/Rearize/Links” booster with all of the game debuting partners - Bearmon, Kotemon, Koemon, Coronamon, Lunamon, Hyokomon, Jazamon, Vorvomon, Blucomon, Herrismon, Dracomon - in one block alongside game antagonists like Analogman, Grimmon, the Eaters, the Spirals, Bemmon etc.

I really hope we get more Yellow/Black support. Yellow is my favorite playstyle but black has a lot of digimon I like, so having both together in a deck would be awesome for me!
